  1. Thanks for the insight!
  2. Not sure why they didn't put in a double vanity in the master, at $425K with all the counter space seems like a given... Also, I have noticed all these new condo has the microwave low, how do you control the thing? are there buttons on the top when you open it? or do you have to bend down to operate it.
  3. Way to take things literally...
  4. Check out Chagrin Falls. You can find smaller houses to rent but they also have affordable but nice apartments to rent. Great downtown village, no crime.
  5. maybe... I remember there was a condo project built on spec. in Mt. Adams with amazing views of downtown that sat vacant for years these were high end units similar to the above project.
  6. They are also about to removed exit 8c and remove the 71N bottle neck and create a continuous 3 lanes.
  7. you will be disappointed.

I don't see the IRS site being available for 8 to 10 years.

All good points, but I still don't think it will happened especially not at the IRS site. The federal government owns the land, and it will take them years to decide what to do with the land, then once they decide that it will take years to actually go through the process to excess the property. Also, How can FC Cincinnati have identified the IRS as one of the two potential sites if it isn't even available and won't be for some time. They can't just call up the IRS and ask if they can have the land when they leave. Its has to go through a long process before the land could even be made available.

I just don't see them putting it in Covington, it would be a good spot though. But the team is called "Cincinnati FC" and but the team won't even be in Cincinnati? The optics from outside the area will be issue. IMO
  11. Where does all that concrete go?
  12. I looked inside yesterday and the place was completely destroyed. it was a serious fire, they had guys in there cleaning it out.

Yes I would assume you would have to remove that street as it cuts right through the main width of the parcel. A great idea for Danny to get involved but he is already part owner the MLS team in Detroit they are trying to start. Maybe somehow the casino could provide some funding for the stadium and then they could hold events there. Another potential site could be the lots next to P&G where New Street is. But less likely because P&G would have to replace their daycare.

Heard a rumor from a friend that FC Cincinnati is looking at a parcel “next to the Casino” for the stadium. Take it with a grain of salt, however he did know the Cincinnati was getting a pro team probably 3 or 4 months before it was announced. My only guess would be the surface lots/small buildings next to the casino. Is there enough room for a stadium there? Would the city consider eliminating a street to create a larger parcel? It would be a good spot if it was possible.

I would say that their lives could be extended much longer than 50 years. Garages in the past have become functionally obsolete (example is pogue garage). Pogue’s life could have been extended but it wasn’t worth the investment. If you have a garage with 150 apartments on top it definitely makes financial sense to keep the garage is good shape to extend its life and the 150 apartments on top.
  16. Trattoria Roma Ristorante downtown has temporary closed, I would be surprised if they re-open. Also haven't seen any work on the new Taco Bell.

I would agree with you if we were in Chicago where they have many buildings like that already. But Cincinnati, does really have one that is clad entirely in the "blue glass" look, we have some that are close. I think it would be nice to have at least one to add some color to the skyline.

    New cladding
  20. Quizno's downtown has closed. Einstein Bagels is opening in old Richter and Phillips location.
  21. I drove by this morning on the highway side after reading the comment above and saw 3 or 4 floors that had drywall up and looked like they have made a lot of progress.
  22. a lot of work for 1 lane...
  23. it surprises me they would build and own a building they planned would only meet their needs for 5 years and only actually lasted 2 years. Maybe the fast growth and new CEO would change their mind on downtown. Probably won't happen but it would be nice.
  24. Maybe build the office tower at the banks? Have Paycor's HQ there. http://www.bizjournals.com/cincinnati/news/2016/12/05/paycor-to-add-1-000-plus-jobs-but-where.html
  25. Walked down by the new hotel today. Looks like the they are building some sort of conference/ball room where the townhomes were originally planned.
