Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Development and News
Yves Behar replied to The_Cincinnati_Kid's post in a topic in Southwest Ohio Projects & ConstructionWell that's just depressing. I'm almost positive I wont be seeing any architecture like that going up in my lifetime. If I were rich I would definitely step up to "throw money at it" as they said in the article.

Not sure if that address is correct. 2300 Reading appears to be the Shell station.

It amazes me that there used to be a near continuous street wall from downtown out Colerain Ave. all the way to the corner of Chase and Hamilton.

Small Town & City Decline in Ohio
Currently living in Southeast OH. I can say it's also not a generational problem as just today I found a bunch of pull tab Rolling Rock cans in the woods that looked to be from the 70s, as well as a Coke bottle from Parkersburg, WV and a Dr. Pepper bottled in Elyria, OH with 10¢ marked in the glass. Also found a Moerlein bottle fragment in Cincy once, like a pre 80s original.

Yves Behar replied to The_Cincinnati_Kid's post in a topic in Southwest Ohio Projects & ConstructionI'm confused about the church situation, with the emphasis on "restoring". So does that mean there will be a sculpture studio in a restored church sanctuary? That just doesn't make sense to me.
