  1. I saw it today for the first time but didn't think to take a pic. My In-laws who live on Adelphi talk about the anti garage signs all the time.
  2. Yeah this shouldn't happen. That's not worth all the headache to residents with road closures etc IMO unless there is direct proof from the Chicago one that local business saw a huge benefit.
  3. Has anyone seen this about the plan to upgrade zoning especially in the Hamilton and Reading corridors? We're buying a house in Bond Hill and I hope it promotes more growth of the NBD there. Not sure if it's the right thread for it. https://experience.arcgis.com/experience/341c80f53c764e0abd4199aeeb18b2de/page/Home/
  4. If only Steve Chabot would have had the foresight for that before giving the funds back...I will never forgive him for that.
  5. I didn't realize this development was just going to be a strip mall... Come on! Oakley is so weird in that it's getting more dense but also more suburban as time goes on.
  6. Yea the irony is that many people against it want more affordable housing. Hard to have affordable housing in a market with limited supply that is just going to keep getting more limited. Watched a good video from Vox on YouTube about this, showing that building denser helps improve affordability regardless because it increases supply. Pretty simple economics.
  7. It makes me sad to read that about the recommendation to get rid of the properties. When I bought my house in Kennedy Heights, I was really hoping there would eventually be a train station right down the road.
  8. I remembered the only thing I really don't like about the stadium is from the inside you can't really see downtown at all. When there at Saints games back in the day there was a great view.
  9. That's what I thought as soon as I saw the video. They designed it with Blink in mind.
  10. omg! I'm so glad someone else remembers that too. I will never forget midpoint, favorite music festival I've ever been to. There was still a mpmf website a year ago i think, no idea why though because it hadn't been updated at all...
  11. Ugh, please tell me that's not true. there's already 2 or 3 down the street on Madison and Red Bank.
  12. Don't know if anyone here is aware of this but Amazon is working on building out covid testing labs in Hebron for processing samples from all their employees countrywide. Interviewed for an engineering job there for this just recently but decided it wasn't right for me. Didn't really get a feel for the scope or how much economic impact it will have for the area though.
  13. They live right by where lucerne intersects it. You might recognize my mother in law as the lady that walks around with Spirit, my five year old niece. I know they walk up and down the street alot.
  14. my in-laws live on Adelphi!
