Cincinnati: Madisonville: Development and News
Lol good point. Here's a wild idea. What if they required retail space underneath the apartments, and after that was built, shift all the businesses in the strip with the goldstar there and put an office building there. Thatd really densify that whole side of redbank. But alas...

Cincinnati: Parking Modernization
Thanks for the info about the pay to park signs. I went to Tafts today and was like oh I get it now!

Cincinnati: Parking Modernization
I have got to say I think the new boxes are confusing as hell. Last weekend, I parked in front of one but it was not on and I was paranoid of getting towed. This past weekend I was going to park along a street and couldnt tell what spots were associated with a box and what weren't. I ended up driving around til I found a regular metered spot. I would greatly appreciate having marked spaces with the boxes ala findlay market.

Cincinnati Brewery / Beer / Alcohol News
climberguy714 replied to CincyImages's post in a topic in Restaurants, Local Events, & EntertainmentIt is a bummer and now that building will just continue to sit. Hopefully they can regroup and have their brewery in otr instead.

Ditto. I can't wait until next election and hope he is not re-elected. I am honestly just so tired of his negativity.

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
I agree it makes more sense to move festivals to the banks. But honestly to make both work together and keep where it is, all they would need are those sawhorses they use to close off the midway during midpoint and have a crossing guard at each of the 2 intersections, right? Such a non-issue.

Cincinnati: Wasson Way Trail

Cincinnati: Wasson Way Trail
http://m.bizjournals.com/cincinnati/news/2015/04/17/exclusive-commuter-bike-trails-could-be-coming-to.html Pretty interesting they came up with the idea of a network coming out of wasson way. Def might help get funds, and itd be awesome to connect as many neighborhoods as possible this way.

Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Development and News
climberguy714 replied to The_Cincinnati_Kid's post in a topic in Southwest Ohio Projects & ConstructionThats good news. Hopefully others will get on board quickly from seeing the demand on this project. Also saw on the business courier that findlay is planning on extending biergarden hours this year and trying to encourage some vendors to try out expanding hours into the evening. This will be essential/inevitable as things move and more people are living around the market.

Cincinnati: Festivals, Music Concerts, & Events
climberguy714 replied to buildingcincinnati's post in a topic in Restaurants, Local Events, & EntertainmentSomething I really like about midpoint is that its not just indie rock, its the whole gamut...Last year I saw in one night an indie pop rock band, an indie blues rock band, 2 indie alt rock bands, an indie electronic band, and an indie trippy alt/hard rock band, even though some are saying there's no diversity, there definitely is, they even had some hip hop artists the last 2 years that are on indie labels.

Wow, looks like there's barely any redevelopment potential for most of the route, weird...

Cincinnati: Downtown: Smale Riverfront Park
From the smale park website: "Glass doors will allow for easy access into the carousel building and will bring the outside, in, on good weather days." Its pretty clear its just the doors. So either they changed it or we misunderstood him in whatever video that was.

Cincinnati: Interstate 75
Yea as a former cincy state student, I get why they want this, but really it wouldnt be that much of a hassel to use other routes. I often went through clifton or northside on purpose just for a change of scenery.

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
Yea I feel in that first pic posted a couple back, it looks like there's a ton of poles, but when driving through there or walking along I haven't noticed them much.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Smale Riverfront Park
Huh? What happened? I thought he said in one of the update videos when they first started working on it that the glass walls would swing open.

Yeah its crazy in only a few months the OTR loop will be done and we'll be seeing vehicles running for tests. Hard to believe we're almost there.
