  1. Yep, it's support your city and team and stand together until we decide to move your team, then fuck off.
  2. Yea Pastor walked around my neighborhood (Kennedy heights) and I was out watering my plants and met him. He struck me as basically a political parrot, pretty sure he said jobs, education, roads and back to our roots all in the same sentence. I was like yeah he clearly is just saying what he needs to get elected, who knows what his real opinions are.
  3. Lol love this, especially the inch and mile bullshit. It's the same cross sectional area either way.
  4. Absolutely
  5. Lol I don't want to be anymore after this Crew thing and understanding more of how the league works.
  6. Taylor Twellman's reaction to this was nuts! I was dying laughing. He is absolutely right though.
  7. And just as a thought exercise, what happens if P&G or Macy's announces that they're moving their corporate headquarters to New York? Or Kroger announces they've gotten a great tax deal from the state of Texas and are moving their headquarters to Plano? Or Fifth Third is merging with Wells Fargo so all of those corporate jobs are leaving Cincinnati? All of these projects like Fourth & Race and Fifth & Main that are currently "in limbo" are totally dead. It'll be like we had this period of time from 2005 to 2017 when urban living was cool and the demand existed to build massive new buildings downtown ... but we didn't. We just sat on our thumbs and did nothing. And then the opportunity passed us by. Now, I'm not suggesting that any of these corporations are about to leave, but when you are thinking about the long term, you need to have all scenarios in mind -- pessimistic, realistic, and optimistic. Agreed, btw it is very possible these situations could happen. There have been articles in the biz courier for the last few weeks about something to do with some guy possibly influencing the board at p&g and moving alot of jobs out of the city or something. Don't really understand all of it sorry.
  8. Unfortunately, I do not. I do know that the old movie theater next to Pleasant Ridge Chili has been bought by the owners of The Overlook but I don't know what plans they have for it. Also, the now empty Burger King should be up for sale soon. The owners of the overlook eventually wanted to open a theater, so hopefully that's what that is!
  9. Lol if a vandercar strip mall went there i would go to the ribbon cutting and lol the whole time.
  10. Guessing this is where the stadium would go if it's in Oakley? https://www.bizjournals.com/cincinnati/news/2017/09/06/exclusive-cast-fab-selling-former-oakley-facility.html
  11. I bet that was cranley's plan all along, cripple it so much that we're happy to just settle for it working as good as it was supposed to in the first place.
  12. So I have a friend that works in the library system who has told me that the annex is likely to be used for a library operations facility to consolidate all of the administrative people into one building that they have been wanting to build for some time but don't have the money to build a new building for. He said from what he's heard they will either sell it or do this but it's looking like they are leaning towards this.
  13. Agreed.
  14. Yeah I'd be fine with this project if half of it wasn't parking.
  15. Yes there's only a couple buildings left to take down, one being my old dentists office. Otherwise it looks like the land is pretty clear and greenery is all gone too.
  16. Just think if only the subway was there, there could literally be an elevator from a station straight up into music Hall or very close. Can't remember where the stations are located near there.
  17. I don't know if I always get lucky or what, but I've literally never had trouble parking in either downtown or OTR, and I rarely use garages. There is a plethora of parking. Maybe you won't find a space directly adjacent to your destination, but if you're able to walk a couple blocks, it's not hard. The last time I went to Music Hall, I parked for free on Central Parkway and crossed the street at ground level (like some sort of peasant apparently). So... The Washington Park garage is accessible as well. If this is really an issue, would it be possible for music Hall to reserve more spaces on performance days specifically for accessible parking? Honestly don't know, but know the whole garage is ada compliant with elevators and everything.
  18. Ummm.... wow... Lol that's a very angry and misguided person.
  19. Lol agreed. It was a big deal and they're reporting on it. Glad to see them focusing on something positive rather than streetcar bashing etc.
  20. Yeah the game tonight was so fun! The only complaint i would have is i felt it was a little disrespectful to boo a world cup winning player every time he took a corner kick and when it was his turn at penalties. I feel with these cup games and other games in the past where there are crowds of 25-30000+ the new stadium really should be designed to hold 25-30000 at least, not 20-25000 like what was reported on a couple weeks ago. If you build it, they will come!
  21. You're right, it's easy to dj if you pay attention, just like it's easy to play power cords or pick out a melody on a guitar. It takes practice dedication and hard work to be a musician in any genre. There are amazing guitar players and amazing djs. But there are also tons of terrible ones. For example i was at the pride festival at Sawyer point Saturday and there was a dj performing, playing a lot of more recent pop stuff as well as ymca. I could barely stand the fact that every one was dancing around like crazy and loved him considering he could not accurately beat match any single song to another. The kicker was at the end of the set they said he is a professional dj on q102! I was beside myself.
  22. Lol so they're turning a detention center into high end homes, def interesting.
