  1. Which is exactly why I argue that it would be stupid for them to not let us in. More tickets sold means more jerseys and gear sold, more food sold, more beer sold. So overall if they're getting revenue from all of that there is more money to be made from us than other teams.
  2. I know there is "pressure" on them from MLS to have a soccer specific stadium but I really don't get it. At nippert we can have 35000 or 10000 at a game and the atmosphere is amazing. Why build something new? Why fix something that isn't broken? I feel we should have some leverage with this because we regularly are having higher attendance than other MLS teams. MLS would be fools to not move us up and take advantage of the already existing market for one that is not already proven just because of a stadium.
  3. Honestly there are a lot of sidewalks along Reed Hartman and Plainfield. That doesn't mean that it's super nice for pedestrians, but they are there. Mostly only see people walking by ethicon office park and by the new park. It was crazy last summer there was a food truck festival in the new summit park and there were office workers walking at least half a mile to go to it.
  4. Lol, my mother in law calls it Hold Your Nuts!
  5. Lol, just getting after you. I have friends that are lbgtq and it can get a little over bearing sometimes with terms etc. Def support equality for all.
  6. So 1 in 400 multiplied by the world's population is 18.75 million people. I'd say that's significant.
  7. You don't even need a bachelor's degree. Just ask Bill Gates, Steve Wozniak, Richard Branson, Larry Ellison, Michael Dell, and many other people you can't currently ask like Steve Jobs, Thomas Edison, Vladimir Nabokov, etc. So in the new show somewhere (I think the episode about life on Mars) he actually explains he was an engineer either at nasa or working for nasa. I was like holy damn, I never new that! I don't see a problem if he wants to make money from at show, it's entertaining and informative, and I wish more people in science and engineering had that kind of platform to refute all the B's flying around the media.
  8. Yea bus drivers definitely do that. I see them blow through lights all the time all over the city.
  9. Oh man, if smitherman were to become mayor we'll be in trouble.
  10. Saw an article about updates from the games of the last week. Thought it was awesome that they said we didn't only break a home opener attendance record, it was the second highest attendance of any soccer game in North America this last week. Pretty sweet.
  11. It is not failing. Agreed, if running in the black is failing, then Charlie Sheen really is "winning"!
  12. I don't know the whole story, but why aren't they planning on using the old Rams stadium instead of building a new one? That seems like a duh to me.
  13. Lol so basically coast, which is against taxes is causing tax money to be wasted, which could have the result of increasing taxes.
  14. Oh yeah I always forget that its different money.
  15. Good point. Makes me think how funny it is lots of people think we need a new bridge for 2 billion, but feel the same 2 billion used for train lines all over the county and improved bus service is too expensive.
  16. All of the tracks from Edwards along Wasson to Hyde park plaza are gone now except the sections in pavement crossing streets.
  17. Just want to say the 2nd response can be said about any government service, example, when someone unsuccessfully tried to kick in my door last year I called the non emergency police number to report it, they said a cop would come to take a report, and 2 hrs later I called to have them not come at all because I was tired of waiting and realized they must be doing more important things, though I'm sure there was a cop somewhere writing a speeding ticket instead... But I don't go saying that police are a waste of taxpayers money.
  18. I thought the title of that article yesterday specifically said buses.
  19. After reading that I think it'd be awesome if they utilized the head Brewers name and named the brewery part Boss Cox brewing.
  20. That's nuts! Btw I drove through Louisville earlier in the month to see family in Evansville and I was like holy crap do they really have enough rush hr traffic to justify such a huge highway and interchange? We went through there about 11am on a Friday and there were maybe 10-20 other cars on highway with us at the time.
  21. I'm really surprised by that, basically the first part only goes like 6 blocks or something.
  22. It's really a shame we can't just blanket form-based code over the whole city and be done with it. Especially with reuse of old buildings there is no reason code should dictate that it can't be used for it's original purpose again.
  23. No it has nothing to do with the fact that it's colder and there's less people on the street in general. Lol.
  24. I read an experimental theatre opened on main in otr but haven't been there yet. http://www.mini-cinema.org
  25. Lol I was thinking the same thing when reading that interview with Berding where he was vague saying it could "somewhere in the city".
