Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
Totally agree. As usual corporate America won't help out to get something done but will swoop in and reap the benefits afterwards.

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
Yea that's pretty terrible. I hope nobody calls it the new name, which is straight up dumb. Guessing a large portion of the money they're putting in will simply go to changing everything.

Cincinnati: Eastern Bypass
So ridiculous. This area does not need another giant bypass loop highway. It needs better transit.

Cincinnati: Bars / Nightlife News
climberguy714 replied to CincyImages's post in a topic in Restaurants, Local Events, & EntertainmentYea very dumb names. People need to start taking cures from the clubs that Stefan used to talk about on SNL, at least those related to something even if it was crazy.

Feel the color is fine, but as an alternate using the city flag colors would have been good, or even just having the logo from the flag on them somewhere. I love the design of the city flag.

Cincinnati: Festivals, Music Concerts, & Events
climberguy714 replied to buildingcincinnati's post in a topic in Restaurants, Local Events, & EntertainmentIt's all about perspective and how interested in a band you are. One year I literally ran from Christian Morelein to a bar on like 5th or 6th to catch a band I wanted to see and not miss it. Whenever I tell someone about that they look at me like I'm crazy, but I'm full of pride. Thats part of the spirit of midpoint for me, the journey is part of it. Also I can't believe they did this cuz it would have showcased the streetcar like mad, people packing in to get to Taft or Arnold's from Washington park or Morelein. I do wonder if this is temporary though, maybe after music hall and memorial are done they'll focus in there and then have a couple stages in Washington park.

Ohio Medical Marijuana
Curious when it will be signed into law. He's been sitting on it for a week now. Also curious why the group working toward having a voter initiative on the ballot in the fall dropped their campaign before this is signed into law. He could easily veto and then they're up a creek. Doubt he will but just saying.

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
I'm curious, wouldn't it be possible to do an inside music venue in the banks and have office space on top of it? If it could then why not have it? I agree there are plenty of venues here and don't really feel it's needed but wouldn't see it as a waste. Now if it's like lifestyles pavilion in Columbus where it's just that, then id say no.

Cincinnati: Walnut Hills / East Walnut Hills: Development and News
My brother in law used to live on Riddle and you could hear the trains alot, but he said he loved it cuz it reminded him of growing up near a train hard in Germany. Also, work with a guy who just moved from Northside to CW and loves it, said his rent is half for a similar apartment and he rides his bicycle to Northside and otr all the time.

Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Music Hall
What should also be part of the consideration is that starting in September, Music Hall patrons can easily park anywhere along the streetcar in otr or downtown and take streetcar directly to Music Hall. I really hope people start using streetcar in this way decreasing such a need for parking directly adjacent to whatever destination.

Cincinnati: Clifton Heights: Old St. George Redevelopment
Lol cuz college students don't have any other distractions! Honestly I'm a very critical thinker and athiest, but I attended one of crossroads' community groups for a couple of years and met some of my dearest friends there. Unfortunate they'll be covering a lot of the old charm, but I understand where they are coming from logically/ideologically.

Cincinnati: Madisonville: Development and News
Yea as far as ive heard from my father in law, who goes to community council meetings in madisonville every once in awhile and has lived there 30 yrs, they are working on getting the downtown area going independant of this develooment. Im excited for all of the development on redbank and on whetsel to take off. Almost bought a house there and visit all of the time. Really alot of it is a quiet neighborhood like the rest around there, but there ia some drug activity. Its really not a bad area at all.
