  1. I plan on going and asking why this ramp has to be built when one is less than a quarter mile away at Reading Rd and Galbraith Rd.
  2. As a member of the E-85 coalition for the last couple of years, I can tell you that Kroger is launching E-85 in Cincinnati at the end of this year and into 2007. Also, Meijer is also rolling out E-85. Major oil companies are also rolling out E-85, BP and others. You can run E-85 in any vehicle, the only difference between flexfuel and regular cars are the fuel lines and tanks are metal and slightly different engine timing upon recognizing E-85. Regular gas and E-85 can be mixed. I ran E-85 in my Honda before moving to Ohio and just ran regular most of the time, and adding in E-85. Didn't hurt my car the 105 octane made a noticeable difference in performance.
  3. So why do we have all these criminals playing for the Bengals. While Chris Henry hasn't been convicted on all the troubles he has had, the image he gives the team is very negative. How many players have been in trouble in the last year? About 4-5?
  4. ^ Funny thing is, I can see downtown from this location! I know Cincinnati is no different than other cities, however our strong reliance on coal power plants certainly doesn't help our particulate levels.
  5. Yes, I know the difference between nitrogen oxides and carbon dioxide. I know that carbon dioxide has been rising, however no direction has been made that temperatures have been rising because of it.
  6. What needs to happen is this, Wal-Mart builds a SuperCenter between the Underground Railroad Museum and the ballpark. Then for events such as this, there will be plenty of room in the wonderful parking lots that Wal-Mart is known for creating.
  7. Well, if this leads to "Son of Beast" coming down, I hope Cedar Fair builds something similar and also builds a new steel coaster, my preference being one similar to Magnum XL-200 at Cedar Point.
  8. I have noticed that the air quality the past week as been pretty bad in Greater Cincinnati. I commute within West Chester, and on my way to the office, I pass over I-75 at Cin-Day Rd. From here, the valley that Cincinnati sits in is easily seen and the air is just gross. The brown haze of smog just sits above the city. My dad remembers that during the 1970s, when he came here on business, he would get sick from the air. It is not as bad anymore, but it really makes you think about what we're doing to ourselves.

I can now say that I have seen the Reds win at home this year! What a slow, sad game in 1-7 innings, but 8th and 9th were great! Dunn's last two days have changed my mind on him. The fireworks were great, however, the ones in August last year, with movie music in the back, were better!
  10. " Beyond 2025, a new Concourse D would be constructed in the old DHL location. Then, Concourse C, which the plan says will be more than 35 years old, will be demolished." Could someone explain to me where the old DHL location is? I know DHL built a brand new facility at the end of 36R/18L, but I don't know the previous location of DHL.
  11. Clapton overrated? Are u kidding me? He may admit Jimi was the best, but the Best are generally modest.
  12. Congrats to Chris Henry again for making it on the news! When is this piece of sh*t going to get kicked off of the team?
  13. ^ Ya, I was about to say that also! My guess in why people voted for some democrats and then voted for Bush was because Kerry was a joke. Plus, all those counties historically vote Republican FOR PRESIDENT, not for every position. Not everyone votes along party lines. And if Blackwell is governor, I for one will be looking for employment out of this state. F*ck that guy and his hidden agenda to take away everyones rights.
  14. While I am excited about the opportunity to climb the bridge, one thing has worried me. I have seen the TV commercials for Cl!mb (I hate the "!" in the middle of a word) and I find myself wanting to drop kick everyone in the commercial. Possibly the dumbest commercial and stupid looking uniforms. If I had to wear that, I wouldn't wear the safety equipment and pray that it was lightning out when I climbed so when my body was discovered on the bottom of the Ohio, the clothing I was wearing wasn't identifiable.
  15. ^ Only thing is, Crosley wouldn't be seen as a Wrigley Field.
  16. This is exactly what we need. Great site. Cincinnati-transit.net and CincinnatiRoads.com are just awesome.
  17. Ohio uses optical scan and electronic touch-pad machines now. I have used both, prefer optical scan.

We finally sweep the Cardinals and I can't be at either game. Its time for Cincinnati to get out to the ballpark with the best team in baseball! 25,000 is not enough, lets get 30k for next game and I will be there.
  19. I hope they don't plan on using a square(4:3 ratio) screen, that is so 20th century!
  20. Well if Cincinnati can't be on the same playing field as West Chester, that alone is sad and speaks a lot about the city.
  21. Well that's why we are a capitalistic society and competition is alive and well. I certainly don't feel bad for Cincinnati not getting the new Dell Distribution center, when Cincinnati could've easily filled a vacant warehouse with Dell.
  22. I don't care how you characterize me. I don't see how adding an exit will hurt anyone, I believe it will add to the area. Union Centre has proven to be beneficial to West Chester and the Cincinnati/Dayton Metro. New jobs are being created there, unlike what is going on in some parts of the metro.
  23. Well there seems to be a big parking lot near downtown, Broadway Commons, right next to the current jail. Or we could stop arresting people for smoking weed.
  24. ^ Luckily you won't be involved in the decision.
  25. ^ I am totally content with Cincinnati as it is. I would rather keep the city as it is. Plus, I don't know if I would want some city officials running the entire county.
