Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
No it hasn't started. Not a word since the small building on Lorain that was supposed to be renovated with this project caught fire and was demolished.

^ Could be an availability (backup) zone for one of the Columbus datacenters.

Cleveland: I-X Center
A huge building, fortune 100 company, and relatively small number of employees could be a datacenter. Though the number of jobs is on the high side.

Cleveland: Ohio City: Bridgeworks Development
I'm excited to see this finally get started. Feels like new construction starts have slowed quite a bit. Hopefully the second Circle Square tower starts next.

Cleveland: Downtown: Huntington Bank Field
I can see the silver lining of getting rid of the huge parking demand on the lakefront. But Cleveland sees it as a competing venue outside city limits that will draw events and dollars from downtown. Long term they should also see it as competition when the Cavs and Guardians ask for a new stadium and see an ocean of parking and related infrastructure in Brook Park.

A couple articles in Crains about the Browns as well. Here's a shortened snippet from each: https://www.crainscleveland.com/sports-recreation/browns-brook-park-plan-draws-skepticism

Same. We've been there a few times and liked it well enough. It's a fun vibe there.

I saw Saosin open up for Taking Back Sunday at Nautica, got to be 10 years ago. I haven't followed them in years. I wonder if Green still has his voice.

Cleveland: Scranton Peninsula: Development and News
That would definitely be amazing. Though it would have been demolished by Scranton Averell years ago if the request wasn't tabled by the city. It's now 7 years older and more run down. https://planning.clevelandohio.gov/designreview/brd/detailDR.php?ID=3046&CASE=DF 2018-116

Cleveland: Slavic Village: Development and News
These jobs won't pay enough to attract anybody to Cleveland. And industrial users depress the value of adjacent residential areas. Why compound that problem for a handful of jobs. 30 acres of residential and greenspace would do far more long term for the city.

Cleveland: Slavic Village: Development and News
I'm not sure which, if any, cities have as much industrial and warehouse space this close to their urban core as Cleveland but I'll bet they aren't cities we want to be compared to.
-
Cleveland: Slavic Village: Development and News
Not the kind of industrial jobs this site has the potential to attract. It borders residential already in the east and south.
-
Cleveland: Slavic Village: Development and News
I'd love to see as much of that site as possible return to residential.

Brook Park: New Cleveland Browns Stadium
Is it realistic to expect an MSA maybe a third the size of DC to front the same amount of money for a new stadium?
-
Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
Agreed but the city is focusing on low density usage like industrial and warehousing for much of the corridor until you get closer to 105th.

I'd rather have the 6 story mixed use building to be honest.

Brook Park: New Cleveland Browns Stadium
Value-capture backed bonds is a better way to pay for this than more unrelated sin taxes. DeWine is wrong on this. I don't support either mechanism and think the Haslams should pay a greater share. But sin taxes are usually paid disproportionately by low-middle income people.
