Agreed. It's more likely they bundle the credits into a property sale. We already have one TMUD winner not doing anything with it.

Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
The press release has the same pics, but in high res. I really like the human scale parts, like the curved boardwalk and plazas. Like @urb-a-saurus said, hopefully this turns out more like the concepts, and less how FEB and Scranton are turning out. https://www.rockmedialibrary.com/c/wxytszge

Cleveland: Downtown: New Police Headquarters
Anybody remember how many parking spaces they claimed to need? The current Artcraft owner also owns the space outlined in red. If they built a garage just in the blue shaded part, that's about an acre of land. The same as the space Sherwin Williams is using to build their new garage. I could see them buying that last square of land to make the garage less cramped, but it wouldn't be necessary.

Remember when a certain, now banned (3x), poster complained about the Bibb administration for starting the search over again? Pepperidge Farm remembers.

2022 FIFA World Cup
Soccer fans follow European football clubs so it's no surprise they pick up the lingo. The only people that get bothered by the terms don't really care about soccer anyway, so big whoop if it annoys them. Anywhoo, in the immortal words of Bill Belichick, we're onto Netherlands.

Miscellaneous Ohio Political News
Conservatives don't need your help playing devils advocate. They've have had no trouble passing their agenda until this point. Why restrict our ability to initiate and pass important constitutional amendments on the hypothetical they might turn around and do the same down the road. There are important issues that need to be dealt with now. And your faux outrage is duly noted.

Miscellaneous Ohio Political News
Republicans currently hold a super majority in the state house and have been passing their agenda into laws for years. What conservative issue do you think voters would bring to a referendum that our government hasn't already passed? Sounds like you'd be willing to restrict everybody's freedom for a hypothetical, and entrench Republican control even further. Or maybe that's your goal though. Sounds anti democracy to me.

Ohio Congressional Redistricting / Gerrymandering
Constitutional amendments are the check to our corrupt state legislature. Them making it harder for the majority to impose new rules is solely to keep them entrenched in power, nothing more.

Cleveland: Cleveland State University: Development and News
This is way better than the last master plan, as sizzlinbeef mentioned. It'd be nice if some of the buildings actually fronted the sidewalk without the pointless grass strip, like you'd expect a city building to.

It would be interesting if they listed where all these new monitors were installed.

I like the top.

Cleveland: Downtown Office Buildings Updates
A growing economy will eventually fill empty office space, even if 75% of office workers are now WFH, just on a much longer timeline. The question is whether Cleveland fits that mold. Demand for office space has been soft in our region for a long time, suburbs included.

Cleveland: Mayor Justin Bibb
You sure seem to have an axe to grind.

Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
Thanks for the pics. Ideally they would build the boulevard but without the separate port access road. Why have two parallel roads here? It defeats the purpose of building a pedestrian friendly area.

Cleveland: Tremont: Development and News
@MyPhoneDeadGeis' project on Abbey looks more like the previous version of the Moltke project if you like that style. I dislike the haphazard rectangles within rectangles within rectangles look. A shame they couldn't put more effort into such a prominent spot (the Abbey project).

Freight Railroads
Interesting. I was thinking more about transit use but I have no idea what it'd connect to. I didn't consider somebody like GLBC using it for freight.

Freight Railroads
Any of it usable as an actual rail connection?

Cleveland: University Circle: Cleveland Clinic Developments
It is definitely an improvement in the area, and has a nice-for-the-Clinic ground floor presence. Here is the full presentation and the northern view and site plan. https://assets.adobe.com/public/7be50be8-b751-444b-5950-66f1d139ef81/Euclid Corridor DR/2022_10-02 CCNI - Planning Comm_Design Review.pdf

Great game, glad they could tie up the series.- Cleveland: Streetscape Improvements
Completely agreed though I haven't noticed any movement in that direction. The city policy is planting the right trees for the location. Which makes no sense because the power lines limit you to all but the smallest ornamental trees. And even then the trees are topped at 12ft so they look bad. Tall trees can coexist with power lines but it takes more careful pruning than how they are typically mangled.- Cleveland: Downtown: Skyline 776 (City Club Apartments)

Are sharrows actually better then nothing at all? I agree you have to start somewhere but sharrows won't get people onto their bikes.- Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
Cool they added some public use. - Cleveland Guardians Discussion
