Cleveland Waterfront Line Extension / Downtown Loop
Most new projects are getting TIF's already to pay down construction debt. I wonder if trying to divert that to transit would put off development near the loop.

Cleveland: Downtown: Skyline 776 (City Club Apartments)
The Crains article posted on this page had a comment from City Club saying the project was delayed to January.

Any way to move the "Mark site read" option away from the "Sign Out" link in mobile? I keep fat fingering it and signing myself out.

Akron: Random Development and News
Cities need new housing stock to compete with the suburbs to retain wealth. Those shuffling into the new houses may have left for a distant suburb, or out of the region entirely. So there is still a benefit in building new houses.

Dang oops probably looked that up first. It looked just so unbelievable somebody would master plan something like that as new build. Glad I was wrong.

What in the name of hell is that Danbury proposal? Like some weird post-WW2 vision of "cities of the future". I had such high hopes from the home of the legendary John Oliver Memorial Sewer Plant. edit: My bad, that's a redevelopment of an old structure, not a new build. Probably should have read the attached links.

Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
^ All that despite Cleveland having hired hundreds more police officers. Gee, it's almost like having more police doesn't correlate to less violence. Maybe it's time to discuss alternative methods to reduce crime long term, instead of arresting people after the fact.

Cleveland Browns Discussion
Ever that bad with a 7-3 record, not sure. But apparently it's not uncommon to have a winning record at the end of the season with a negative diff: https://www.reddit.com/r/nfl/comments/agplox/has_a_team_ever_had_a_winning_record_but_a/

Cleveland Browns Discussion
Vernon was a beast. Ward had a great game too. Wentz though was awful. Unrecognizable from his first couple seasons. Bad throws and holding onto the ball too long.

Not ever building has to be the same height, IMO.- Cleveland: Cudell / West Boulevard / Edgewater: Development and News
I dig that Lake Ave condo building. Like a contemporary version of a 70-80's architecture. Not a lot of great source material from that era to work with, but still.- Cleveland Planning Commission
All that time just to bring back the old pages. Hopefully they start uploading agenda images again.- Cleveland: Downtown: Magellan-Weston project
Good. I hope there is massive pushback. The vacant lot at the corner is about an acre in size. That is already a massive space for a garage podium and tower. The lot north of the Marion building is about 2/3 an acre. Also big enough for a garage to support a residential tower. The only reason to tear down the Marion building would be to build a garage large enough for court tower employees.- Cleveland: Tremont: Development and News
The Scranton corridor master plan had a few hints, like the APL-owned land behind their place on Wiley. Or the Animal Clinic-owned land at W.25th and Wade. I've love to see Scranton Averell land at Wiley and Train moved into somebody else's hands. Less likely but Tremont Place Lofts sold to Panzica development a few months ago. There were rumblings about a year ago about future phases, but the parking lots probably aren't big enough for hundreds of units.- Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
Swing and a miss.- Cleveland: Streetscape Improvements
There seems to be random blocks where nothing has been changed. Even when everything else in the neighborhood is done. My guess (hope) is that'll get cleaned up in that last 15%.- Cleveland: Restaurant News & Info

The vinyl panels look bad because there's no texture or contrast. Just a flat beige wall. It looks pretty bad, and more so right next to the historic facades.- Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
Looks a little bland but it'll fit in well other 2 story mixed use building on Lorain. If it looks suburban, that's because they are often poor imitation of urban buildings.- Cleveland: Random Photos
That stretch of the Shoreway is the least used highway coming into downtown. One of the reasons I want to see it removed completely when the conversation starts for replacement.- Cleveland: Downtown: Skyline 776 (City Club Apartments)
That's very encouraging. A November ground breaking would be about 2.5 years since Lumen broke ground. Hope we don't have to wait that long before the next one. - Cleveland: Cudell / West Boulevard / Edgewater: Development and News
