Cleveland: Duck Island: Development and News
Nobody goes to the building department with construction plans unless they've already gone through design review, block clubs, BZA, etc, which would have become public. Dimit's done a lot of restaurant interior renovations. Given it says "Markt" on the plans, it could just be a renovation of their Bier Markt space which wouldn't require all the city review (unless they touched the storefront which goes through landmark commission). Or maybe a second location?

Cleveland: Duck Island: Development and News
An update on the "Duck Island 7" townhomes at the corner Abbey and Columbus. The construction fence came down on these a few weeks ago. http://www.duckisland7.com/

Cleveland: Downtown: The Beacon
You mean where the construction elevator is attached? No, that area doesn't even have the yellow insulated panels installed yet. Many of the floors just have plywood to keep out the weather. The cladding won't be installed here until the elevator comes down. There are closer pics posted upthread.

No, there should be a metal skin attached to the yellow wall panels.

Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
The city's priorities are a complete mess. The money should have been set aside for the transportation hub -- the one KJP said was basically dead.

Cleveland: Downtown Office Buildings Updates
About damn time they had a presence downtown. It always struck me as odd that a company that's grown such a (relatively) large software and creative team wouldn't have a satellite office downtown. This isn't what I was hoping for, but it's a start.

Cleveland: Detroit-Shoreway / Gordon Square Arts District: Development News
I wonder that myself. These should look pretty good but the ones just finished along Randall/Fulton Ct in the OC thread are awful.

Also I don't think this was posted here before. 5 townhomes at the corner of Lorain and W.47th from Knez. https://www.knez.net/neighborhoods/forest-city-five-townhomes-7439

Cleveland: Detroit-Shoreway / Gordon Square Arts District: Development News
Here is a townhome project recently finished at the corner of at W.48th and Bridge. This has a nice street presence. I can't find the landmark/cpc pics but I know they were posted here at some point. Edit: Fixed typo. The Development is at 48th and Bridge, not 44th.

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
A couple project updates. "Greenbrier Mews" at the corner of Randall and Bridge Ave is done. The project entailed 2 new single family homes, 8 townhomes, and a couple historic rehabs. https://forum.urbanohio.com/topic/363-cleveland-ohio-city-development-and-news/?do=findComment&comment=727824 http://planning.city.cleveland.oh.us/landmark/agenda/2016/07142016/index.php https://www.knez.net/neighborhoods/greenbrier-mews-7084 View from Bridge showing the new single family home (in yellow) and rehabs on either side: Around the corner on Randall, showing the other single family home and townhomes along Fulton Ct. The townhomes are pretty ugly. What's with the tiny windows facing the street?

From the county auditor's site: 101-07-008 PUBLIC SQUARE WEST LTD W 3 ST CLEVELAND, OH. 44113 2017 Certified Values Land $4,787,000.00 Building $54,000.00 Total $4,841,000.00 2018 Proposed Values Land $5,097,400.00 Building $49,800.00 Total $5,147,200.00 That's a total increase of 6.3%, which is less than the county average increase. Wouldn't that mean Jacob's Group property tax would actually go down?

Yikes, the second lowest income increase and lowest housing price increase over the last 20 years.

Stupid question but what industry would tech jobs like software and engineering fall under? Business and professional services?

Metro Cleveland: Road & Highway News
Pretty sure the left lane on 480E was closed again this morning, so apparently the contractor doesn't care about the fines.

As much as I'd like to see the mansion renovated into a massive for-sale home, it will probably be carved up into apartments, like the plans for the Sanford House nearby. http://planning.city.cleveland.oh.us/landmark/agenda/2018/10112018/index.php

^ Thanks for the additional info. Is it too early to speculate on the plans? I'd like to see the 1 story addition demolished and the remaining complex get a full historic restoration. Dalad certainly has the experience. They've done some substantial renovations in the Warehouse District, most recently Worthington Yards.

I wonder if it'll jump again before the Beacon crane comes down so we have two in the skyline.
