New UO site design suggestions
You have to make a new activity stream with the settings you want. On desktop: Activity > My Activity Streams > Create New Stream. Give it a name and change whatever settings you want. For example change the Ownership option to "Content I have posted in". I also suggest changing the Clicking Unread Items setting to "Take me to the first unread comment" Then click Save Changes. Now you will see your new stream under the Activity > My Activity Streams menu under the Custom Streams group. When you are viewing your custom stream there is a little checkmark next to the name. Clicking this makes it your default. Though I can't tell wtf this does on desktop. You still have to manually pick the stream every time you open the forums.

Cleveland Guardians Discussion
Clevinger went 5 innings and gave up 1 run on 3 hits. He had a good outing. It was our bullpen that gave up 10 runs. In hindsight putting Bauer in the bullpen was a bad idea.

New UO site design suggestions
Is there a way to mark threads as read from the activity stream? I spent a couple minutes going into every subforum to mark all threads as "Read" so old posts stop showing as unread activity. But obviously that's a temp solution. As people post in threads I don't care about they'll always show as unread posts. The activity filter lets me limit based on post date, but that's not an ideal option. edit: Never mind I found it. On desktop there is a link for "Mark site as read". For mobile it's under the 3 line pull-down menu.

Cleveland: East 79th TOD
^ Thanks for the info. Cleveland has been talking about form based code for years. If there's any hope in getting something worthwhile out of the monstrosity that is the OC, they better not take 18 months to codify new zoning along this route.

Cleveland Guardians Discussion
I quit reading after a few paragraphs when it became clear it was just another woe is me article about Cleveland sports. Same old tired bullshit. The media sure loves to remind us about past sports failures. Go get 'em Tribe!

Cleveland: East 79th TOD
I thought the city was looking to rezone the entire corridor. Is that dead?

And besides being unsightly, those uses have ridiculously low job density and will actively discourage high density employment and residential. If they don't like it, too bad.

Thanks for the pics MayDay. I didnt realize there was that much detail in the facade. Hard too see past the grime and plastic sheeting.

University Heights: Development and News
The pie in the sky plans floated by Passov showed residential lining Cedar. That would have been fantastic. This is just standard fair suburban retail.

Cleveland: Detroit-Shoreway / Gordon Square Arts District: Development News
The site plan and density look great (YO to the CLE was right), but the aesthetics of the project are pretty bad - a bunch of disparate materials, colors, and rooflines thrown together haphazardly. Sadly it fits in with the rest of the Edison project which looks cheap.

Panzica was the GC for Centric which is just finishing up. Maybe they'll use a lot of the same subs.

Cleveland: MetroHealth Medical Center
It is sad, but with the proposed giant green moat around their campus, it shouldn't however be a surprise.

If that's true, then they've given up waiting on nuCLEus. They were one of the tenants that signed letters of intent early in 2017.

Cleveland: Downtown Office Buildings Updates
If SW wanted a campus on the water, they already own 10 acres of land on the riverfront around their technology center. What is SW more likely to do -- (1) build new on the riverfront, (2) consolidate into a new skyscraper, (3) build over the rail lines adjacent to Landmark, (4) nothing at all?

Cleveland: Downtown Office Buildings Updates
How much would a new headquarters cost, maybe a billion? At the rate they are expiring debt from the Valspar acquisition, they could be ready to take on additional debt in a couple years. For that to be the case they have to be planning the consolidation now.

The Official *I Love Cleveland* Thread
Nice article. Hard to dislike a guy that stumps for Cleveland that hard. Hopefully some of the tech companies he's investing in takes off.

Cleveland: University Circle (General): Development and News
Agreed. They had a bunch of alternative site plans showing the mansion and student housing could coexist. What's the point of all that surface parking for student housing? Proposed: Alternatives (there are several others):

Housing Market & Trends
Many of the houses that saw large appraisal increases were seriously undervalued in the first place. The example in the article was odd. They picked an income producing double in Tremont to show that their property appraisal is too high? Perhaps the rate of increase was excessive, but the newly appraised value isn't crazy.
