  1. ^ Don't think Stark doesn't know that already. A full third of the gross square footage of nuCLEus' site plan is devoted to parking. That is far beyond the needs of the office and residential components. It's all for the retail and Q. We'll see what, if anything, was scaled back - probably not the parking.
  2. Probably true, and it wouldn't be WXZ's first time following that pattern. They are renovating the former College Club mansion in Cleveland Heights and building townhomes on the remainder of the property (see for more detail). Though this location is perfect for new construction apartments (or condos please!). I'd love to see a couple 5-6 story apartment buildings with below grade parking lining Scranton and University.
  3. Both 2151 and 2111 Scranton Rd transferred to 2151 Scranton Acquisition LLC. Here is an aerial of the two parcels. Based on the demo permits posted by freethink, I'd guess everything except for the 5 story structure on the right will be cleared.
  4. Full of eye-rolling comments from county council. Though, I understand concerns about the 25 year loan typing up cash for other projects. http://www.crainscleveland.com/article/20180320/news/155471/county-council-balks-ohio-city-development-loan
  5. At what point do we exhale and call this full-steam ahead?
  6. ^^ Maybe you folks are right. It was just my first reaction. Not every bar needs a bunch of tv's. (though I don't get what a tv or 2 would hurt)
  7. You might be the only one. That will hurt it, IMO.
  8. I was thinking the same thing. Cleveland has been actively looking to rezone certain areas for denser residential/mixed use construction. The vast majority of rezoning is from semi and regular industry to multi-family to block potential industrial use where they don't want it, like along the towpath in Tremont and Flats. This fits that mold quite well, to encourage dense multi-family along a major transit corridor.

Joe is going into the media. He'll likely be working for Fox or ESPN.

Or the number of posters have decreased.
  11. That's funny. The CBD will be full of massive 1000+ ft skyscrapers. The western neighborhoods still 2 story single family homes.
  12. Unless I'm misunderstanding, the TIF and loan are two separate pieces of financing.
  13. This was all I could find.
  14. The residential lobby will be on Euclid where the main entrance is now. And the garage-only access will be on E.6th next to the driveway.
  15. Corner of West 17th and Lorain Ave. These parcels were combined and re-split last year into 3 diagonal parcels, presumably so each house has direct views of downtown. See before and after shots of the parcels. The house that's been framed is #1 on the right, and it's huge.
  16. Congrats to GLBC. Hopefully this can be the start of big things on the peninsula. Here is a snippet from the above article.
  17. I'm just going off the county GIS, which lists the parcel owners as "BRICKHAUS INTEGRITY OHIO CITY, LLC". Maybe it hasn't been updated yet?
  18. Brickhaus is the current owners of the new 12 parcels. I assume it'll be a phase of Brickman's Lorain Ave project.
  19. Too far gone and safety concerns. Pretty much the same crap we always hear when something historic is demolished. My prediction: the property gets transferred to the church or commercial neighbors and converted to parking, which was the goal all along.
  20. Passov lists the existing storefront for lease. Kertesz and his investor group must not be in a huge hurry to demolish it. http://www.passovgroup.com/listings/cleveland-2208-2210-superior-viaduct
  21. Nice. Best news I heard all day. Surprised there hasn't been an article in Crains or PD yet (or maybe I missed it). There is some conflicting info out there. In an article about Boyd Patterson moving to Erieview Tower, Bullard said the building is still up for sale. http://www.crainscleveland.com/article/20180304/news/153696/tower-erieview-lands-money-manager
  22. Back to the drawing board I guess. http://realestate.cleveland.com/realestate-news/2018/02/former_st_michaels_school_in_t_1.html
  23. St. Michael's school on Scranton is going up for auction today. Open up your wallets UO! Funny enough I remember we were trying to talk JRosen into buying it. ;) (link from 2016). Edit: Since it wasn't mentioned in the article, this is at 3146 Scranton Rd. http://realestate.cleveland.com/realestate-news/2018/02/former_st_michaels_school_in_t.html Thank God for that.
  24. Cool pics. Thanks for posting.
  25. It makes sense to set paving priorities after the worst of the weather is over. Temperature swings early in the year are brutal on the roads. Roads can go from okay to awful in a couple weeks. Setting priorities before winter ends seems premature, imo.
