  1. Indefinitely only means they don't know when the vote will be, not that there won't be a vote.
  2. Since I can't "like" posts on the mobile site, I'll just say the writeup and pics are awesome.
  3. There, fixed that for you.
  4. Thanks. That would be interesting to know. I remember the scuttlebutt over a year ago when Stark was supposedly hiring subs for HVAC or something for nuCLEus, and that obviously went nowhere.
  5. There are folks on these forums that typically know when RFQ's go out for construction trades. Has anybody heard if PHS has their ducks in a row to start construction soon? The articles say ground breaking "late this year" but we know how these things go.
  6. I think the updates look fine. IMO, the problem was with the garage facade not the tower, and it doesn't look the garage changed at all.

  8. Pic of the former Komorowski Funeral Home building in Tremont at 2258 Professor Ave.. This will be the home of resurrected Visible Voice Books and Crust pizza, which is relocating from Kenilworth. 9. Here are a couple pics taken last week of the "Clinton West" apartment building at 3007 Clinton Ave (http://www.clintonwestcle.com/).

  11. No those two at Freeman and 19th aren't the McNulty townhomes. You missed the more interesting shot right across the street. It looks like the 10+ units south of the animal clinic is starting. There is heavy equipment and piles of fill dirt on the site.
  12. To the right of the brick house will be two townhomes that look identical to the four already built around the corner at Marquardt and W. 6th (you can see the rear of them, the white buildings in the background of your pic). All 6 units are connected by a common drive off of 6th.
  13. Good question. There is no lack of class B office space with attached parking. Hopefully they are interested in bringing them all downtown. It's funny how these real estate deals work. If the Rose building were actually empty, it would sit around for a year or two before getting auctioned off for half the amount MM offered. MM being the motivated buyer is stuck paying a premium to avoid having to move.
  14. New article from Michelle Jarboe, just posted: http://realestate.cleveland.com/realestate-news/2017/08/medical_mutual_cfo_rose_buildi.html
  15. I drove by earlier because I was curious what was going on. This is the brick building on the southeast corner.
  16. ^ Where exactly? The only vacant land near that intersection is adjacent to Tremont Taphouse. I heard they were planning to expand when they bought and demolished the house south of their parking lot, but it's only served as additional parking since then. I just assumed the expansion rumor was incorrect.

Who besides Kyrie would you give up to make that deal? We don't have the roster spots for that many guys in return, so there'd have to be some throw-in players to make it work.

^ Aren't your property taxes based largely on the county appraisal? I've never seen anybody argue with the county their house was worth more than appraised.
  19. The article has a quote from Dona Brady saying the first phase would create about 100 jobs and the second phase 200 jobs. Not clear if that is construction jobs or the actual tenants moving into the buildings. If the latter, it implies Weston has interested tenants. I hoped for a denser headcount, but it's better than 22 acres continuing to sit empty.
  20. So it can be demolished easier would be my guess.
  21. A thriving Hough and Fairfax doesn't really benefit Cleveland Clinic. Land around their campus is cheap allowing them to expand outward instead of up. A spokesman stated as much when comparing their campus to the Mayo Clinic and John's Hopkins. Disappointing if you hoped they would reverse their suburban style development.
  22. I think it's great the son is thinking long term about real estate development instead of just parking.
  23. I agree the scale and layout is perfect. I hope we get 5 more of them scattered around the flats and warehouse district.
  24. That's awesome, hope it's legit. That parking lot is part of former Sammy's space that was bought by Joel Sheer in 2014, which is now renovated office space. http://www.cleveland.com/insideout/index.ssf/2016/12/cool_spaces_former_sammys_restaurant_now_offices_penthouse_overlooking_flats_photos_video.html edit: The above article mentioned that Dimit was the architect for the building renovation, so they have a relationship with Sheer and this property. Who knows, it could still be nothing.
  25. What would the ramifications be of an RTA board with more county/regional interests? I hope they would push for better service in their areas, which means expansion (hopefully rail). My concern is that they'll push for additional cuts because they "don't use transit anyway." As for Jackson trying to push out Calabrese. I've disagreed with most of Jackson's decisions the last few years, so I'm weary whenever I see him politicking where politics shouldn't be involved. I'm no fan of Calabrese but at least he's pushed for heavy investment in new stations and track improvements, even if what we really want is new rail service. I wouldn't shed a tear if Calabrese stepped down, but I consider him the lesser of two evils if Jackson is involved.
