Will Clark Griswold be at the unveiling?

Cleveland: Downtown: Gateway District: Development and News
I will echo my comment on cleveland.com. Anybody can tell that the casino garage hurts the businesses down East 2nd and High. The question is whether they have recourse against either the city or Rock. It's what we always say on this forum. There is such a thing as bad development.

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
Those 2 houses on Keene were for sale for under $20k each last summer. I'm guessing they are rehabs.

Cleveland: Shoreway Boulevard Conversion
This project is nothing without at grade intersections and pedestrian crossings. It is good to hear we are getting more than just trees and closer pathways.

Cleveland Heights: Development and News
Yes. The BW3's nickname came from the original restaurant's name -- Buffalo Wild Wings & Weck.

I'm so mad that I actually like these things. I was one of them calling the arches tacky when the first renderings came out. :-o

Cuyahoga County Sin Tax
That isn't fair either. In your example, you get the benefit of having a home team and watching it on TV on the backs of people going the games.

Cleveland: Historic Photos
Aren't those exactly the type of buildings down East 4th and warehouse district? We fawn over these buildings now. Is that the corner with the Renaissance now?

Cool video other than the sign at the beach 20 seconds in that says no swimming. :-o

Cleveland: Marketing the City
^ According to their website they formed in 2013 and are working on their first full length album. The Black Keys have, what, 4 albums?

Cleveland: Marketing the City
Finally saw the video and really liked it. I will echo a couple of the comments. Some more shots of the lake and rail would have been nice to show something that makes Cleveland unique.

Liberty Township: Liberty Center
Maybe because of funding issues at the state level encouraging new construction over rehab. Familiar with the 2/3rd rule? Besides that, does a school building have to be a school in perpetuity? How about a church or store front? Buildings get re-used all the time. But I should know better than to get hooked at feeding time.

Cleveland: University Circle (General): Development and News
That is not a crazy reaction. I think most people would prefer the building renovated and used for its original purpose. The undertone is that another institution, and by extension their affluent members, are leaving the city. That is not a net win for the city. As you mentioned, donating the space to Case is the best of the alternatives. Considering the 2 churches along Euclid that were demolished last year, I would say this is next-best outcome. :|

Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
Why would you want a street grid that close to the water. Bringing cars all the way down there wastes valuable real estate on parking, whether it's surface or structures. I just really hate cul de sacs. Maybe it's irrational, but I just HATE seeing them in urban areas. I could agree with that. Maybe a one-way street encircling the development, with the main north/south and east/west paths down the middle two-way.

Cleveland: HealthLine / Euclid Corridor
^ Pretty sure that was to cut down on the number of stations needed through most of the corridor where the right of way is down the middle of Euclid. Those stations serve both sides of the road. It might be after the red light going one direction and before the red light the other. The stations in part of UC are like you describe - on opposite sides of the intersection but there aren't many of those stations anyway.

OHSAA hockey state final declared tie after 7 overtimes
True, but ties aren't allowed in championship matches. IMO, ties shouldn't be allowed in any competitive sport. OHSAA's resistance to skill's competition to end a game is ridiculous. Give them 2 OT's, then a shootout. There, done. As for the outrage over the tie, to echo ColDayMan, it's high school hockey.

Cleveland sports talk radio
The only good shows on either station is their respective morning hosts. The rest are amateur at best.

Cleveland sports talk radio
^ I was listening to that too and thought the comparison was stupid. Jerrod and Hooley feel like they need to defend their conservative religious viewpoint even if their feigned insult is unfounded and idiotic. I was disappointed with Hammer's rebuttle. Too much tip-toeing around his original opinion. Did Riz and Hammer ever bring it up again? And I agree with you. Anything other than "I want to bring a championship to your team" is the wrong answer and reason to reconsider their dedication. This kid needs to get out of the shadow of his older brother.
