  4. Does anyone know if the frontier flight from CLE to San Juan is seasonal only? We went back in may, and it was booked both ways - such a good time. We’re looking to go back in November but frontier isn’t showing it. Hoping it’s not cancelled 😞
  5. That’s from 2005 and was only about their rolled materials division. As of 2022, their global HQ moved from Glendale, CA to Mentor.
  6. Well technically in 2022, Avery Dennison made NEO their global HQ. Made little to no press, oddly enough, but they list mentor as the HQ now and showed up in this year’s fortune list.

  10. Wow, just saw that, too. That adds another Fortune 500 HQ to the region. Wonder why it’s received zero press? A recent google search has a lot of results that still list Glendale, CA as the HQ… so I’m thinking the move is recent. Their website clearly lists Mentor as the corporate HQ, though.

Concrete structures can typically flip floors in 4-7 days, but there’s substantial shoring that takes place until the concrete is cured to support the structure above it; That is the schedule killer compared to steel. One thing to look out for is how fast the concrete cores rise, because that is a schedule driver for steel structures. I would imagine a week of framing per floor (assuming the cores get a head start of 7-10 floors), but then there’s detailing and the slab on metal deck. No shoring below, so you’ll start to see exterior wall and interior layout happen much sooner than a concrete building.

Please explain to me how they are constructed the same way?I I would assume a courthouse has longer structural spans to accommodate large courtrooms. Longer structural spans mean bigger impact to web depth and/or trusses, further impacting column size and foundations. Large courtrooms mean higher floor-to-floor height, which means means more exterior wall. I could go on and on… i would expect something like SHW to be in the $300/SF-$350/SF range, whereas an urban courthouse I would expect to be in the mid $500/SF upwards of $700/SF (construction costs, not total project). Not triple the cost but being double is not out of the realm of possibility.
