Cleveland Cavs Discussion
Wade also opted out days after lbj did. It's not like they did it at the same time. That's wades fault if he left money on the table.

Not that this is the tower crane thread, but flats tower, cuyahoga county headquarters, airport for the new control tower, southwest general, there were two at UH building a parking garage. This is what I recall in the past 3 years or so. May have been one or two more. Anyways, the tower crane for the hotel is going to be a beast. Cannot wait for it to start going up here shortly. I'll try to get down there while they're doing it and get some pictures.

Cleveland Cavs Discussion
I don't know guys... I want to think he's coming back, but he's all about the attention and he loves the speculation, even if he drives it himself. Until he actually signs on the dotted line that he's coming back, I'm less than optimistic.

Cleveland: Warehouse District: Development and News
"Some" people know about this. ;) Yes it was. This is different. If you're referring to the NE corner of West 9th and St. Clair, the property is owned by the Historic Warehouse District Corp. If the property is on the SE corner, it's owned by a paper company called West 9th Street Investors. The real identity of the company is a mystery. The borings were being done in the southeast corner of W9 and St. Clair.. Across W9 from Mallorca and the former BRGR9 space.

Drills down to take samples of the dirt below. Usually an indicator that someone is looking for a geotechnical analysis of the site in order to program for a building. They did all that years ago back when Marous had plans to develop their building on that site. They had the construction plans done and were preselling condo's in 2004 when the cost of steel skyrocketed and the deal tanked. THey had photos of all the foundations exposed & such. pretty radical. Wasn't Marous's development (district park?) in between the Bingham and National Terminal? Or was there another one on this corner that was planned?

The only thing that is steel is the podium, which will include the meeting rooms, lobby, etc... The whole tower is post-tensioned concrete.

It was determined a pad wouldn't work. They have to use a deep foundation system, i.e caissons.

Why did you use the term "hidden problems"? Without any knowledge of the situation, but knowing how the show rooms work, I would venture to guess there is individual build out/construction issues. Think of the Med. Mart as a COOP. Each tenant is really an owner of their space and the better their space. if their space is designed and built out property it will be highly visited. The more "buyers" visit the showrooms the profitable the entire building. This excludes spin off money spent in the community. There's no hidden problems or underlying issues. Multiple tenants are currently being fit-out. The clinics space was just completed. As MTS said, it takes time for the individual tenants to get their space designed and built. Rome wasn't built in a day.

Yeah they're up. West scoreboard is being disassembled and east just started Monday. We keep losing days bc of the weather but that's to be expected. After the scoreboards are down, demo will start.
