  1. Two things of note to report. One is that Anderson's BBQ is now part of the food court. The other is that the bathrooms on the one side of the food court have been recently renovated. The entrance to the bathrooms has been completely redone. New toilets have been installed with automatic trigger flush. The counters to the sinks have been redone and the walls have been done as well. The whole bathroom has a much brighter vibe to it than the murky dingy look it had before.
  2. Instead of the lull period for the retail and restaurant world which is typically during the wintertime, it will be during the summer. I'm certain the businesses in the Downtown have or will make preparation for this time of year. Also, do not discount people in the surrounding areas coming into town to see the new places and the not so "just the same old" Kent. In addition, there are events going on in Kent during the summer and do not forget the many recreational and leisure dollars that occur in the summer.
  3. Actual New Restaurants opening in Kamms. http://www.cleveland.com/sunpostherald/index.ssf/2012/12/new_businesses_opening_up_in_c.html
  4. According to a source inside the planning department, the Hollywood Video on Lorain near W 41 will becoming a McDonalds. It is still in the beginning stages of drawings and approvals.
  5. First of all, in downtown news, to my knowledge and someone I know who went walking around downtown, the mirch masala looks as if it will be on Ontario on the side across from the Casino in Higbee's. Second of all, in case it was not posted here it is, about restaurants opening in Westpark. http://www.cleveland.com/sunpostherald/index.ssf/2012/10/eateries_opening_revamping_on.html Seems there will be new Indian and Thai places in Westpark.
  6. Good morning to all. I've followed urban Ohio for some time and finally joined the fray. Now correct me if I am wrong, but the renovation of the building to the west of the former Palazzo restaurant right at the corner or Berea road and Detroit is seeing some results. On the street level, one of the storefronts that was previously sealed up is now restored with pane glass and is visible inside to be a laundromat. Encouraging sign for the neighborhood.
