  You want at least 20 Amtraks per day. Plus CSX longs freights of all kinds. Search for Ashland, Va. Virtural railfan Live. Get it on Y-tube or their own site. They have a live chat. They tell you what's coming.

:-D This cam seems to be different on a daily basis because it is on the East Coast. Heavy railroading up and down the coast. Just yesterday, there was an accident near the cam. It doesn't have 360 degree turning. It caught the aftermath. Dust. You could go back to see it over. Only has a four hour rewind ability. You can see the Amtraks load and unload when they are on the opposite side of the station track 2 or 3? On the station side you can't see anything until the train leaves. The people can cross over the tracks. Youtube: Virtural railfan web cam, Ashland, Va.
  4.  I found the Virtural railfan live stream in Ashland, Va. North of Richmond on the Northeast Regional lines. It has live chat. They tell you what is coming. You can watch the nice little town with North and South cameras. You can go back 4 hours if you missed something. Has anyone seen it?
  5. Of course you are correct. I am felling nothing but negatives. :-(

:wtf: There are more videos on Y-tube on the latest Evergreen extension. These are the linear induction models. Auto driven. They have been doing it for a long time. Now people are just talking about auto driven cars, buses, trucks. The Canada line is similar. It is auto driven. One big exception is it uses rails instead of induction. What I like is not crossing of streets. It's elevated, or in a subway, or fenced off right of way. It goes very fast. Being automated, trains every so many minutes. I guess it could be called a medium system. Something between heavy and light rail. Could Canada line model run on the red line?

    :wtf: Vancouver, Canada.

:wtf: You can view a lot of new vidioes on Vancouver's Skytrain system. It is a driverless system. Close frequencies. Every four minutes or less. No street running. Fast. See the vidioes. Shows it in a subway, at grade, and elevated. More expensive to build. Vancouver's people love it. They want more and they are getting it. It goes through switches fast. What do you think?
  9. :yap: :yap: We need it also with the limited Youngstown, WRTA, Trumbull Transit and many non profits in the area. Plus a link with New Castle transit to Pittsburgh. Sounds like a good train route between Cleveland and Pittsburgh. Also, with a branch from Akron, Kent, Warren, etc.
  10. :wtf: The note said Green Rd. Was it on the Green line? If so, it is standing room. How can there be regular service with this kind of load?
  11. :yap: Like KJP's map. Should be all N E Ohio, including Trumbull.Mahoning and Columbia counties. Now is the time to talk about a real regional authority to coordinate sparse transit funding plans. Maybe get more Federal funds for rail and bus projects. Joint buying, software, equipment, new service, etc.
  12. :wtf: I saw some videos of Essen Germany running both Duel-mode Trolleybuses and light rail together in the tunnel. I think they got rid of the Trolleybuses in the tunnel now. Could you do the same as to run the new guided tram thing and light rail in the future? I could see these running on the Detroit-Superior bridge?
  13. :wtf: :wtf: Wouldn't this system eliminate the two wire and two trolleybus poles cluttering up the street? Single pantagraph looks better than trolley poles. Seems like it is easier to make one trench. Like you said, the guidance is the key.
  14. :wtf: :wtf: How would this work with our ice, and snow?
  15.  Now that makes sense!
  16. :wtf: Signal preemption on Shaker Green and Blue lines. : Missed a great opportunity to do it years ago. This seems like I have heard of this before. Health line. Expresses: Should explore again on Green and even Blue lines. Make it faster than driving.
  17. :wtf: :wtf: It is almost impossible to go from Trumbull to Mahoning county or the reverse. There is very limited Warren Express service. What happens after you get off the bus? How do you get to the finial destination? I have heard it is even impossible for special needs people who may work in one county and live in another. I have personally seen it is impossible. Various agencies were called for information. All say the same thing. They used to do that, but the funds were cut. Only transport in either Trumbull or Mahoning county where you live. People will have to choose to quit their jobs. Any ideas?
  18. :wtf: :wtf: To the above 3 posts: Why can't RTA get a remade route map?
  19. :wtf: Some new pics of the new Little Italy stations and surroundings.
  20. :wtf: What about Cleveland-Pitt? Cleveland-Columbus-Cincinatti?
  21. :wtf: I just met someone that lives in Broadview Hts. and works at the Cleve. Clinic. The person would somehow like to get on a rail line. What would be the closest station to park? Is there a shuttle to the Cleveland Clinic. Least amount of transfers. Help?
  22. :| I do get to see the Warren Express coming into Warren and going out to Youngstown. I have noticed since it is Summer, (or YSU ? is out), the numbers seems down.
  23. :-( It's hard to believe yours is the most news WRTA has made since 2012. I have sent a few of my Northside ideas to WRTA with no response.
  24. :-) I just found this program on NHK World on Demand. It shows the latest in this diesel hybrib passenger trains in Japan. Simple explanation on how this system works. We could surely use them here for commuter rail. What do you think?
