  2. I hope they're not serious about the Avenue being a test market for this project. The Avenue simply isn't in a very desirable location right now. Eventually there will be more things over there, but it's pretty isolated right now.
  3. For now they aren't cutting anything up really. The employees will still need to go upstairs for stockrooms, offices, breakroom, etc.
  4. Brooks Brothers is currently undergoing a remodel. They're going to be mostly consolidating to the first floor, and re-arranging registers and merchandise. Bedrock is committed to keeping them around as long as possible.
  5. Its not a tease, there is a Blockland Community Update on July 1 for anyone who wants to attend. https://www.facebook.com/events/362677884599201/

  10. Victoria's Secret in the Avenue at Tower City has closed. People heading in for the upcoming CIFF will be treated to a vastly emptier mall than last year.

  13. Crossing my fingers for some condos???
  14. Waterloo Brew was unable to brew, because of laws stating that a brewery owner may not also operate a bar more than 1 mile away from the brewery. Alan Glazen owns multiple bars far away, ABC, XYZ, etc. and thusly was not allowed to operate a brewery as well. The law is antiquated, but was intended to prevent the big guys, Bud, Miller, etc from owning bars and bullying the competition.
  15. According to a source, the Tower City mall management transition is happening tomorrow, yes March 17, St Patricks Day, the day the mall is overrun with drunk high school kids, and it closes at 2pm. There will be a 30 day transition where Forest City will be involved in training the new ownership, and there will be no little fanfare or announcements.
