  1. That set of buildings back by the cell tower, are under foreclosure right now. Google Waynedale Circle Apartments and you'll see the reasons why :wink2:
  2. This area is considered "the ghetto" of Huber Heights. Granted, it's a helluva lot better than many places in the City of Dayton, you could do better, but definitely do much worse. The police seem to be in and out of this area quite a bit. Not sure of what crimes and such are going on there, but I believe many of the units are Section 8 housing.
  3. How's the situation out there on the Belbrook line near the Home Depot? Are they still having annex wars?
  4. Yeah, to veer OT just a bit(if ok with the mods), he would regularly call out the Cincinnati meteorologists when the snow and ice would miss us, or just be rain. I believe it was 2008, he had on Derek Beasley(WLWT), Jude Redfield, Jim O'Brien, and the big finale, TIM HEDRICK(known as Headrock on the air). It was all funny until Hedrick and him started going at it on the air about Michelle Boutilette and Willie calling her "Booootilazeeee" :D I really don't think Timmy was kidding with Willie, he sounded pissed. I'll pm you the clip when I find it in my bookmarks. The show still actually works in the WLW archives
  5. Somebody explain to me how a shopping plaza that was built in 2010(maybe earlier) is sitting on the main drag, still unoccupied 2 years later? Huber Heights has several "empty" plazas. Wait! The city wants to develop "The Heights" on the other side of town. This is interesting! Shouldn't we be trying to fill the cubby holes first before putting up potentially more unoccupied business/retail space? This city is trying to be dumb like Dayton, and I have no idea why the residents aren't speaking up.
  6. Couldn't resist bumping this(saw it in a related field), if that's the case, why all the minority guests on his TV talk show? And I bet he's staying NYC at least part of the year. He's getting a second season of "Bill". Is he still doing the radio gig?

There's a debate going on right now on a FB page about too many warnings, etc. It brings up a great point. It seems that the closer the storm s get to a metro area (Columbus Dayton Cincy etc), the more the warnings are posted. Yes, there's more people, of course, but I think some of this might lead to a "cry wolf" syndrome. The Mont. County warning Friday night was totally warranted, as a 4 block area around Wilmington Pike in Kettering had cars flattened from trees, and substantial property damage! But for some areas like Cincinnati, the actual storm didn't really get going until it was past the city, and spun up a brief tornado in Clermont County. The "dual polarized" radar at Wilmington should be able to make these events easier to warn on. It's not like they don't have the tools. I hope National Weather Service gets their heads out of the sand and realizes there is a need to address this and quick.
  8. Interesting! For a guy that was "gung-ho" on not allowing this(and firing 2 Mont. Co. Commissioners for defying his orders), he has basically threw in the towel. There will be early voting hours the weekend before the election. Of course, everyone is trying to say it's the democrats who wanted it, but I think just as many Repubs wanted it too, actually.
