MayDay, just wanted to let you know I love your site. I've been visiting is periodically now for a few years (I can't even remember how I found it); it's nice to have facts and statistics of all the Cleveland (and the rest of NE Oh) skyscrapers concentrated on one site. Again, great site!

Which Ohio City Could Host A Superbowl?
^ I've never had the pleasure of playing on field turf. In high school, I was oh so lucky to be able to play a few games on astro turf. Turf burn is one thing you don't forget if you've experienced it... ouch!!

Which Ohio City Could Host A Superbowl?
I remember there was talk of building a domed stadium before Cleveland Browns Stadium was built for this exact reason. It sucks that we won't get to host the Super Bowl; however, I am glad that they went with the open air stadium. Football is meant to be played in the elements; I hate the idea that the Super Bowl can only be played in a location that is dry, sunny, and 70+ degrees... Hell, they're playing for the championship, let em get a little dirty!!! (I know, it's more so for the fans paying the big bucks can be comfy, but still). I don't really know what requirements are looked at for hosting a Super Bowl besides playing conditions, so I can't really say which would be more likely; though I do beleive it would between Cincy or Cleveland since Columbus has no real ties to the NFL.

East or West Side of Cleveland
^ Your not alone. My wife grew up in the Heights area; I never lived a day of my life in Cleveland, yet I could you more about the west side than she could having lived in the Cleveland area for 20+ years. I used to think it was just her, but over the years I've run into other Clevelander's who are the same. It's like the other side of town is an entirely different city.

Clevelanders express discontent, worry about neighborhoods
It's sad to see the PD continually print stories like this. It just amazes me how Cleveland's hometown paper can seem so anti-Cleveland at times; if they see the opportunity to take a good jab at the city, they take it.

East or West Side of Cleveland
East side. Though, I don't live in Cleveland, I work on the east side and my wife grew up the east side, so I'm definantly more familiar with the east side of town. We're planning on moving to the Cleveland area and our home search has been pretty much concentrated on the east side (plus, my wife is a staunch east sider; it would be blasthemous for us cross the river); though I must say, I really like the Edgewater area on the west side.

This is Toledo?
I love that view to. I've only been that way once and I knew DT Toledo was right up the Maumee so I just glanced over while driving to see if I could view the skyline at all and I wasn't disappointed. You can't see a lot of detail from that vantage point, but I kind of like looking at skylines from a distance; it's looks very imposing looking off in the distance and seeing towers almost coming out of nowhere.

Greater Akron METRO (RTA) News & Discussion
This is becoming a common theme. From the Akron Beacon Journal 1/26/2006 Metro fares to rise in June General fare to increase 25 cents. Changes will add $250,000 in revenue over six months, in part to offset higher fuel costs By Mary Kay Quinn Beacon Journal staff writer To offset rising fuel costs, Metro Regional Transit Authority will raise seven types of fares, including its general fare, in June. The general fare will increase 25 cents, to $1.25. The Metro board approved the fare structure Wednesday. The increases should add $250,000 in revenue over six months, Finance Director Dean Harris said. Total fare revenue is $3.5 million a year, he said. Cleveland: Why the modern mansions on Chester between E. 70th-90th?
Though I think they are definantly out of place, I am glad to see the development taking place in Hough. I remember when I first saw them there about 3-4 years ago, I almost had to do a double-take while I was driving. I would definantly prefer to see more urban housing developments being planned in the area, but progress is progress any way you look at it.

Cleveland Cavs Discussion
I have to admit, I'm startin to get a little jittery. I know some of our key players are our currently out; but with the way things have gone the last couple of seasons, it doesn't give me a good feeling seeing the Cavs going into a mid-season slump.

Cleveland Innerbelt takings: What we stand to lose (photo essay)
^ I really like this building; it would be ashame to lose it. It would be ashame to lose any the industrial-style buildings. I grew next to the B.F. Goodrich complex in Akron; I watched as many of the closed and abandoned buildings were transformed for light industrial use, office space, resteraunt space, etc. I'm very fond of these old buildings; they have so much character and once they're gone they can't be replaced.
