What is your favorite newspaper or newspapers in Ohio?
Hometown bias - The Akron BJ. I read the PD at times... I just don't like there reporting style compared to the Beacon's. I've always thought the Beacon has done a good job of presenting the news.

Urbanohio is adversely affecting my life
Only the fact that I recently moved and the seemingly endless trail of projects I've had to do at work have kept me from visting the site more frequently recently. As things begin to settle and get back to normal, my universe should once again start to revolve around Urban Ohio.

Cleveland Browns Discussion
I'm so optimistic that they'll be better; however, the AFC North this year is going to be brutal, no way they make any real noise within the division. I'd like to see them at least get to .500, but if they can at least get close, let's say 7-9, I'd be happy. Go Browns!!!!!!!

What got you so damn interested in cities in the first place?
I grew up just south of downtown Akron, so many of my childhood memories involve trips to O'Neil's and many of the other old storefronts that once lined Main St. I loved going downtown for shopping with my mom as a kid, especially around the holidays. There is just something magical about the holidays in the city.

What got you so damn interested in cities in the first place?
As a child, I wanted to be an architect (I know, weird when most little boys dreamed of being fireman or pro wrestlers). My love of architecture led me to fall in love with skyscrapers. Since scrapers are located in urban environments, I became very interested in the environment that surrounded me; thus, my continued interest in all things urban.

What Is Your Favorite Food?
You are in a bad situation right now but let me assure you I can resolve all of your problems with two words: Ramen noodles. the best 17 cents you'll ever spend. Ah... Ramen Noodles, the lunch of champions. I've got six packs of Ramen Noodles in my desk at work... the least expensive lunch out there. As for favorite foods... I'd have to say anything Italian. There isn't much that comes out of Italy that I won't eat (which is why a no-carbs diet just wouldn't work for me).

Most Dangerous Ohio City
Thank you Columbus_girl, that was so needed and necessary. That's why we gotta work harder to give them goals, give them role-models (besides, you know...Maurice Clarrett), and fight for a better education. Amen Chris. That's what bugs me about hip-hop today, these are this generations role models and all the mainstream artist seem to be able to talk about is garbage; money, rims, women, becoming 'hood' rich, and the overall glorification of 'hood' life. There's nothing wrong with talking about where many of us have come from or at least spent a considerable amount of time in; however, that where we need to end it. I love talking about and hearing about old hood stories, it's a part of our culture; however, let's switch gears and talk about how to move beyond that life instead of repping how dangerous our hoods are. Just silly in my opinion; but sadly, this how many of young brothas and sistas think because this the message that's passed along to them by their current 'role models' :-(. The hood is not a right of passage, it's a reality of life and a sad one at that. We gotta find ways to get our young folk to look beyond what they see on a daily basis and want more out of life; if we can't get them to see beyond their block, then we can't expect Black America to advance further.

What is your favorite Ohio pro sports team???
I'm hoping to see the Cavs win; we need at least one team to win something up here and the Cavs right now are our best bet. My heart though is with the Brownies. I dream of the day I can realistically say "Cleveland Browns... Super Bowl Champions!"
