Cleveland: North Coast Transportation Center
Not as cool as the wavy concept that KJP posted a couple pages back, but it's still good. In fact, this proposed version seems to very close to the site plan of phase 1 of the early concept: Soooo, with that said, is there any possibility of a second phase with a new attached Amtrak building, similar to this?:

Ohio Medical Marijuana
^ And what if you have a doctor's prescription for cannabis, but your employer wants to fire you anyway?

Cleveland City Council
It seems to be a trend that individual departments are getting their own websites, instead of the whole city website updating. I guess they're tired of waiting on the administration, and they want to look professional. The Dept of Economic Development has a pretty nice site too.

Cleveland: Downtown: Drury Plaza Hotel Development
I'm usually pretty critical of architecture, but I don't really see a problem with the canopy. I haven't seen it up close, but I walk past that building almost everyday and from the sidewalk it blends pretty well. Besides, the rest of the building is so nice that most peoples' eyes will not be drawn to the canopy.

Cleveland: Nautica Development
There are parts of this plan I like, but I really can't believe they're proposing tearing down the Harbor Inn building and the warehouse building that houses McCarthy's. Why are Cleveland developers still stuck in the old mindset of demolishing every old building?

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
Very exciting project. Nice pics, but unfortunately I'm often overcome with confusion and embarrassment when I see those new bike lanes on W. 25, with the protective barrier on the wrong side... ugh

Cleveland: Downtown: Millennia's Garfield Bldg & HQ Developments
As long as they find a good concept to replace it, I don't really see this as a loss. We already have a good number of steakhouses around that area.

Cleveland: Detroit-Shoreway / Gordon Square Arts District: Development News
The neighborhood drops off pretty dramatically once you get past W. 78. This is not in a particularly desirable part of the neighborhood. There are still plenty of developable lots closer to the heart of Gordon Square, such as the former Watterson school, the block between 75th and 77th that recently burned down, and a few lots off W. 73. As a resident of the neighborhood, I have no problem with this project and I'm happy to see that it's being built with the urban form in mind.

Cleveland: Detroit-Shoreway / Gordon Square Arts District: Development News
Interesting tidbit I've heard. That housing project is the first development under the new urban form overlay district, which is essentially Cleveland's version of experimenting with form-based code. I'd expect that Cleveland's future citywide form-based code will be similar to this district.

Cleveland: Downtown: Drury Plaza Hotel Development
This has to be the nicest Drury Hotel in the history of the brand, right? I always associated the Drury brand with cheap suburban hotels, but this hotel looks on-par with the Kimpton. I am very pleasantly surprised.

Cleveland / Lakewood: The Edge Developments
Are there any confirmed tenants for the proposed retail building next to Lucky's?
-
Cleveland: Public Square Redesign
Between this and the terrible proposal for Mall C, I'm really beginning to think that LAND Studio knows absolutely nothing about good public art. This is horrible and tacky. Is there even a way to stop this from happening, or are we just inevitably going to look like a tasteless and tacky city to the RNC visitors?

Cleveland: Downtown Office Buildings Updates
I hope this is all it is. I'm still holding onto hope that MM could build on the Hippodrome lot.
-
Cleveland: Downtown Office Buildings Updates
^ Not terrible, but a little disappointing. I was hoping that MM would build a new building downtown. Also, since 45 Erieview isn't all that big, it makes me doubt that there will be a consolidation of suburban offices into the new downtown office.

Cleveland: Downtown Office Buildings Updates
So, I saw some renderings of 45 Erieview Plaza with Medical Mutual signage on it. I'm really not sure what to make of that. I don't have access to the renderings and probably wasn't supposed to see them.

Cleveland: University Circle: Cleveland Clinic Developments
Looks about how I expected it to. Meh.

Cleveland: Downtown: Hilton Cleveland
Hilton signage is up.

Cleveland: Which Project Will Be Next and Why
I also hope a good number of these new towers don't just have flat tops.

Cleveland: Downtown: The Avenue District
It's great that something is going there, but wow what a boring design.

Cleveland City Council
^ Damn, he might as well have dropped the mic at the end there. I'd love to see Mansfield Frazier replace TJ Dow as Ward 7 Councilman. Frazier is a smart and principled man and he actually seems to know what he's talking about too.

Cleveland: Downtown: Gateway District: Development and News
I guess I'm mostly just hating on its branding. The menu looks pretty good so I'll probably at least give it a chance. I'm just worried that the branding and marketing for this place will just attract a bunch of Johnny Manziel types.

Cleveland: Downtown: Gateway District: Development and News
Oh come on. The sign is tacky and the clientele will be insufferable but the building is fine. I'm not praying for it to fail because this city already has plenty of empty storefronts, and it's not like this is on Euclid or E. 4th.

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
^ I'm pretty sure that's Canopy Collective - an art gallery that was reported by the infamous Henry Senyak because they *gasp* sometimes held live events there.

Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
Holy wow, this is awesome. I've never seen these plans before.
