  1. Here it is: Rascal Flatts restaurant - first in nation - will open at Cleveland's Flats East Bank this year CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Country trio Rascal Flatts plans to open a 10,000-square-foot restaurant and bar at the Flats East Bank project this year, making Cleveland the first city in the nation to gain a country-tinged concept discussed since at least 2012. On Thursday, a Cleveland design-review committee approved an exterior plan for the eatery, which will be located on the ground floor of an apartment building at the riverfront development. Documents submitted to the city describe an eclectic space that mixes country themes with rustic and industrial stylings. "A restaurant supported by a national name like Rascal Flatts is the perfect addition to the Flats East Bank," developer Scott Wolstein said in a news release distributed after the public meeting. "From the beginning, we set out to build an urban waterfront destination, and we're excited to be able to offer this type of concept in conjunction with our existing restaurants and entertainment venues. It's also a testament to Cleveland's resurgence for us to be able to attract these types of businesses." 2. ^What's the circle cut out in the last picture? Also, if IRC the restaurant was planned to be ready for the RNC. Based on those pictures, does it still seem realistic?
  3. Lots of hate for a place that has yet to open. I actually want to check out the indoor bocce! They will also have live music which I think is an area that downtown is definitely lacking in. I'll give the place a shot before I pass judgement.
  4. "When it opens, The Burnham will occupy two levels and seat 217 guests. Its design includes an open kitchen motif and a bar area, terrace and private dining space." They should scale it back by one seat.
  5. Don't know, but a pool located above another use is no big deal. We have indoor pool on the seventh floor of my condo building. It's probably not a big deal but it always blows my mind to think of the engineering involved to hold the weight of a pool on upper floors of buildings. A quick Google search says that a cubic foot of water is 62lbs!

  7. ^Good place. My family has been getting wine supplies from there for years.

Who was a bigger disappointment last year: Dwayne Bowe or Johnny? Or who has been the biggest recent first round disappointment: Johnny, Gilbert, Richardson...?
  9. C'mon... DC??? This is a horrible list. The images they choose for some cities could have been much better too.
  10. Millennia Housing has talked about moving downtown in previous articles

  13. Didn't think demand was an issue but financing may be so it's best to get as many projects financed, the sooner the better. Another real estate bubble is percolating out there. I have the same feeling and nervous about another looming economic slowdown...
  14. I have a similar nostalgic feelings about the old cold storage facility that used to be next to I-90 near Tremont. For some reason, as a kid I always enjoyed looking at that building with the giant signs painted on its side. :-D

It's so frustrating to think of all the high draft picks that the Browns have blown over just the past few years. :x
  16. Hopefully this potential development ties into the old Chinatown roots of the area. Emperor's Palace is directly behind those sites.
  17. That's still a couple hundred a day which is fairly frequent. I know KJP has the exact count.
  18. Ken Stewart's is leaving...but Bold Food and Drink is moving in! Ken Stewart’s to Close in Flats East Bank, Bold Food and Drink to Open This Saturday will be the last night of service at Ken Stewart’s East Bank, which opened two years ago in the first wave of fresh development down by the river. That restaurant opened around the same time as Lago and Willeyville, but has since been joined by several new restaurants, bars and entertainment venues such as Crop Rocks, Alley Cat and Punch Bowl Social. The Ken Stewart’s space won’t sit idle for long as Demetrios Atheneos and Fady Chamoun, partners in Oak Barrel (5975 Canal Rd., 216-520-3640, theoakbarrel.com) and Forage Public House (14600 Detroit Ave., 216-226-2000, foragepublichouse.com), will open their third eatery in the space by the middle of next week. 21. ^ Would have been neat if the Sheriff St Market could have been attached to the Q as a hotel or something (if it wasn't torn down). That was a neat looking building.
  22. The twitter account is working but I'm getting a "no data received" message when trying to open the website. The website is working now. Floor plans are available but there is no pricing listed.

What ever happened to this? Did it slowly fade away and is completely off the table now?

A quick search and I think that this will be the biggest score board in the league. 60 x 237 = 14,220. Seattle currently has the biggest score board at 11,425. Yeah I know people will complain that we need to spend money on putting a winning team on the field but at least we will be winning in the scoreboard size race! Size does matter! Year old list of scoreboard sizes: http://assets.sbnation.com/assets/2472197/videoboardchart.png Gateway approves $16 million request from Cleveland Indians for new scoreboard for Progressive Field CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The non-profit landlord for Progressive Field on Wednesday approved a $16 million request from the Cleveland Indians for a new scoreboard system that could be financed by taxpayers. The system would includes a main center-field display measuring 60 feet tall and 237 feet wide — nearly three times the square-footage of the current display, which was installed in 2003. Cool. Do you need a digital ready tv? Yes, which all new tv's are. If it is an old CRT tv then you would need the digital converter. Tons of how to's online for building one at home.
