Cleveland Hopkins International Airport
Here's a story for ya! Southwest to eliminate four routes — N.Y., Boston, D.C., Denver from Akron-Canton in Nov; adding Vegas; changes also coming to Hopkins Southwest Airlines is eliminating four nonstop routes from Akron-Canton Airport in November at the same time it’s adding one. As of its Nov. 2 schedule, the airline will be eliminating nonstops from the airport to New York’s LaGuardia airport, Boston, Washington, D.C.’s Reagan International Airport and Denver, said airport spokeswoman Kristie Van Auken. In the meantime, the flights will continue. However, the “silver lining,” Van Auken said, is the airline is adding the airport’s only Las Vegas nonstop as of November. The route changes appear to be part of a larger Southwest announcement coming this afternoon and full details were not available. more: http://www.ohio.com/business/lin-fisher/southwest-to-eliminate-four-routes-n-y-boston-d-c-denver-from-akron-canton-in-nov-adding-vegas-changes-also-coming-to-hopkins-1.591879

Cleveland: Downtown: The Centennial (925 Euclid Redevelopment)
From Crain's: Florida group lines up as potential buyer for Huntington Building in downtown Cleveland The next play may be taking shape for the vacancy-riddled former Huntington Building in downtown Cleveland. Delray Beach, Fla.-based real estate developer Hudson Holdings LLC recently formed Ohio limited liability companies linked to downtown’s second-largest multitenant office building, at 925 Euclid Ave. The name of Andrew Greenbaum, a principal of Hudson, appears as the manager on articles of organization filed May 11 with the Ohio Secretary of State’s office for Hudson Cleveland Real Estate Manager LLC. The agent for that new company, Tom Smith, also is the agent for HH Cleveland Huntington L.P., a limited partnership formed the same day. Both documents list 925 Euclid as the location for the concerns. The Hudson Holdings website portrays it as a mixed-use real estate developer for both construction and rehabilitation projects, particularly those located in urban areas. The firm owns five Florida hotel, restaurant and office properties, according to the website. Cleveland / Lakewood: The Edge Developments
Lucky's Market, grocer new to Cleveland, lines up for Shoppes on Clifton project (photos) CLEVELAND, Ohio – A grocer new to Northeast Ohio expects to put down roots on the city's west side, where an empty church has lingered for more than two decades for lack of solid prospects to remake or replace it. Lucky's Market, a small but growing company based in Colorado, has signed a letter of intent to anchor the Shoppes at Clifton, a retail development planned along Clifton Boulevard between West 116th and West 117th streets. The grocer would fill a void left by Giant Eagle, which considered building a small-format, high-end store on the site but walked away late last year. A grocery store is the linchpin for the project, a gateway development at the Cleveland-Lakewood border. Lucky's and a second, multi-tenant retail building would rise along Clifton, where an old shopping strip was razed in 2012. A developer is planning townhouses along Lake Avenue to the north, where the vacant Fifth Church of Christ Scientist still stands. The octagonal church, owned by the city, will be demolished. That seemed to open quickly, granted there wasn't too much needed for a build out. Good addition to Euclid.

GOOGLE: All Day, All Night, All Nice
Ok, I'm annoyed with Google Maps. I cannot figure out how to get back the satellite view. It seems like Google maps was updated and I only have the option for their generic street grid maps or Google Earth. I can't stand the cartoon-ish 3D video game looking Earth images! There is an option to revert back to the "old" Google Maps. That option takes me to the "Lite" version and I can view old grainy satellite images. However, when you zoom in, it does not do the cool 45 degree angle view. Give me back the satellite images, Google!!! :whip: Anyone know how to get the non-Lite old version of Google Maps back, with the cool 45 degree angle satellite views?

Cleveland: Public Square Redesign
Yes. It would add significant cost to RTA as well as creating significant bus traffic around the perimeter of the square that would effectively cut it off from the outside sidewalks (some people on here deny that this is happening, but I can tell you that I see it every day and it's not a pleasant experience). Superior's width will also be cut down in size and part of it will be covered in special pavers to help connect both sides of the square. It's not like a concerte road will be cutting through the middle. And they do plan to close it down for special events and likely during many weekends as well. The significant bus traffic that is circulating around the perimeter will now be funneled between the bisected square. I've been mesmerized by the live cam for the past ten minutes and it is non-stop bus activity circling the square. It's averaging about 5 buses on the square at once (at 8pm). All this bus activity will be consolidated to crossing the middle of the square and become a constant stream of buses. Will the two halves of the square become as segregated from one another as the four quadrants were before?

Cleveland Browns Discussion
The Browns have a Thursday night game at Cincinnati again this year. Why wasn't this changed up to a different opponent or at least let Cleveland host the Thursday night game against Cincinnati?

From Twitter mjarboe[/member] RNC picks #CLE's Halle Bldg as convention HQ.
