The streetcar will have a connection with the people mover. The line starts at campus martius and terminates just north of the amtrak station.

Moved this from the "Streetcar news outside of ohio" thread. My partner has accepted a position with Amazon in Detroit, which means I'll be moving away from Cleveland next week. While I'm sad to be leaving Cleveland after falling in love with it, I get a nice first hand look at the M1 rail project construction from the deck at our new place. So expect me to post plenty of progress pics in the near future, and if you followed my coverage of the "dazzle the district" project, you know I'll deliver! You can still see the rails from the days when streetcars still traveled down Woodward. In 2016, they will return!
  3. I talked to Joe Cimperman who in turn notified CPD. Also tweeted at the DCA.
  4. Hopefully they get this going before the building crumbles away! Also, not sure if anyone else has noticed, but the dusty windows have become a place for people to write profanity and the doors have become public restrooms. I really hope to hear some good news about this project soon.
  5. It would be a perfect fit as delegation of theirs have been in Cleveland over the past few months working closely with a certain digital marketing agency...
  6. Looks like the Fifth Third Bank Building also grew by 15 stories. Yeah, and Rosetta Center seems to be missing... Either way, someone pinch me because I have to be dreaming. Next someone's going to tell me that the parking lot on public sq. is going to be turned into. 50+ story tower!
  7. Correct. You really can only see it from the upper deck. I noticed it back when I sat up there during the Boston series.
  8. I see police patrolling down Coventry all the time.
  9. Yeah, that shared lane is idiotic. The bridge may be signed at 35, but people mostly do 45-50. Same for the Lorain-Carnegie. Nobody seems to obey posted limits on those bridges.
  10. 14th has a ton of open retail spaces. I'd love to see those fill up.
  11. I'm seeing talk on twitter about the S&S monument in public square being vandalized. How terrible. :(

It's gotten so much better in just a year.
  13. I think tonight they played well, there were just some questionable management calls made in key moments.
  14. So does this mean we get two new Symon restaurants this year?!
  15. Those video boards are really bright! I didn't notice until just the other night how much they light up the east side of the AT&T building.
  16. Yea, I really like it for a bar. I think it's a little confusing for coffee, IMO. It's a reference to pour-over coffee, which is what Pour specializes in.
  17. Do note that CVS recently extended their hours till 10PM every day of the week. So that's probably a good sign. I think having Euclid filled in from public square to playhouse square should help attract more retail, but that's still probably 2 years out.
  18. Yup. They've had the brackets up since the first board went up. Speaking of which. I'm not really a fan of the way they're advertising the development on the boards. The whole "sex sells" approach seems kind of tacky. I was at the tribe game last night and noticed the board is mostly women showing their legs and rolling around in bed sheets.
  19. Amen. I'm tired of walking by those buildings in their current state. The left-most one has recently become a urinal for drifters judging by the smell coming from the doorway. I can't wait to see that whole stretch of Euclid come alive again.
  20. I believe their first leases start this July on the second and third floors with subsequent higher floors coming to market every few weeks / every month til next spring as they work their way up. So as they do construction on the other floors they will allow residents to live there? Interesting.... They took the same approach with the hanna building conversion.
  21. Ah. I never even knew that place was there.
  22. Do you mean CLE Clothing? They're still on E. 4th.
  23. I hope this turns out to be a great deal for the aquarium. I recently purchased an annual membership. There's a lot of great exhibits there already, but the experience is a little short. Perhaps this will allow them to expand a bit.
  24. Agreed, I had some of the best ice cream I've ever tasted there on Saturday! Watching it get made in front of you is pretty cool too.
  25. Yes RTA's service was well used and generally on time. However, the (literal) horsesh!t visible in the photo at the station/on the tracks, tended to tamp down our appetite for the delicious ribs. It was there 1p Memorial Day when arrived. Worse, it was not only still there when we left 2 hours later, the odorous pile was there the next day!... Yuck! A little maintenance RTA… maybe? Yeah, CPD had mounted units out for Dazzle the district too. There was horse crap in front of my apartment for days afterwards. I feel like the police should clean up after their own horses.
