That area will be open tomorrow. They were only scheduled to film there today.

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
Just wanted to say, the free RTA rides for the Rib Off were awesome. Seemed like there were a lot of riders when I went around 1. It was a beautiful day for a train ride, some ribs, and even a visit to the aquarium.

Cleveland: Downtown: John Hartness Brown Buildings / Euclid Grand
Hopefully work starts soon. I walk by them every day and haven't seen much activity. These buildings (and the old CAC nearby) have some terrible smells coming from them.

Walked by today, remembered your post, and grabbed a quick shot with my phone.

Cleveland - Walnut Wednesdays
I was at the Indians game getting a sunburn and watching our boys beat Detroit! Hopefully I'll make it next time!

Cleveland: Hotel Development
I didn't like the way it looked during the day, but at night it looked awesome.

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
Our rail cars are old, but they seem to be in better condition than the healthline buses!

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
I'm noticing a lot of the normal (non-articulated) buses being placed in service on the healthline route lately. Is this due to not having enough vehicles to meet demand, or are there just too many of the BRT vehicles out for repairs right now?

Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
That article really has some biased digs at Cleveland. The article states that the tomb is in the suburbs, but isn't it in fact in the city limits of Cleveland? I know that Lakeview Cemetery has Cleveland, East Cleveland, and Cleveland Heights portions, but I believe Garfield is in the Cleveland section. I missed the digs. IIRC, the whole cemetary is in Cleveland, but on the borders. The fact is we once actually had someone steal "in use" urinal cakes from the bar, so anything can be stolen. Fireball is very popular among the younger inner city set these days. I'm wanting to call this a gang initiation. I highly doubt that anyone in any gang knows or cares about Garfield's commemorative spoon collection. They also stole several demitasse cups too. Given the proximity to Coventry, I think we all know who did it. ;) All kidding aside, why the hell was that terrible video linked in the article? Completely unnecessary.

Cleveland: Downtown: Mall Development and News
The winter wasn't too kind to it. It either needs to be improved, or removed I think. At night I think it looks pretty cool, but during the day you can tell it's starting to succumb to wear.

Cleveland: North Coast Harbor Developments
Amen! I was thinking this when I went down earlier today! There's a great opportunity for outdoor dining down there during the summer. Even something just like PHS's Dynomite shack would be perfect. Some small retail stalls along the pier would be great too. It could really become a fantastic tourist stop.

Cleveland: Downtown: Playhouse Square Development and News
At least it would be consistent. Right now the white Phuel logo looks out of place when every other sign on the building is gold. The interior of the cafe looks fantastic, I just wish they would have given the same amount of thought and attention to detail with their branding.

I noticed signs up for Phuel today. I wish they could have matched the rest of the signage on the building.

What bothers me is that they don't let you sign up for the card at any of the registers. You have to walk over to customer service. My first time shopping at a giant eagle wasn't exactly an experience that made me want to return. Long lines, not many registers open. Having shopped at Kroger for most of my life, I assumed they'd allow me to sign up right there as they checked me out. Fortunately, I had enough items that I had time to run over to the customer service desk and get a card before the cashier finished, so I avoided paying the marked up prices. Kroger handles this way better, the cards are at the cash registers and they're activated with first use, and you can mail in the registration or register online any time afterwards. Anyways, I suppose a discussion on their business model could be held elsewhere. Just thought I'd add in my displeasure with the shopping experience there.

Cleveland: Downtown & Vicinity Residences Discussion
I think it's about 70% full last I've heard. I know IBM Urbancode still has a presence in the building after moving in in 2013, not sure how much total space they occupy though. They'll probably have to move some office tenants around if they plan on doing a conversion.

I can't believe the folks who hate the chandelier so much that they are actually angry about it. This guy in the comments of the gizmodo post is acting like the fact it was placed near his apartment is the worst thing to ever happen to him. I don't understand people sometimes...

CLEVELAND - Downtown Forum Lunch Meet - July 30th or July 31st? (see last page)
Walnut Wednesdays start back up tomorrow. Might be a good meet-up option throughout the summer.

One cool thing they were using the new video boards for was to show Instagram photos and tweets tagged #DazzleCLE. Was a great way to keep the crowd engaged with the event even after the ceremony was over.

With some better logistics, I agree. This place would make an awesome NYE venue. The way some of the tents and stages were lakes out caused some annoying bottlenecks. The worst being outside of the mew Phuel cafe and the other being outside of the Starbucks. I think Public Square is a better location logistically, but PHS is definitely a more spectacular location.

Got a chance to sing the national anthem with the Cleveland Pops Chorus at tonight's awesome game. Thought I'd share a few pics.

Cleveland: Downtown: Playhouse Square Development and News
I couldn't believe how big this was. Every window in every building had people lining them with flashing lights. There were even people hanging out on the faux-balcony of the hanna building. I really hope the PHS puts on more events of this scale.

Probably the best night I've had in Cleveland so far. Sang the national anthem w/ the cleveland pops chorus at the Indians game, and caught the lighting ceremony after seeing the Indians get a 5 run first inning. The square was packed, it was truly a spectacular event. The big moment. (Video) http://instagram.com/p/nhSPI2jPMR/ And a shot of the crowd. I got a little emotional there. When a community comes together, amazing things can happen.
