Cleveland: Downtown: Justice Center Complex Replacement
I agree. I love new development but it is shameful that something like that could be built and be on the table for demo this quickly. Remind yourself that Group Plan buildings were built in the early 1900s and have been continuously occupied!!! I'm in the Justice Center a good deal and although it's a disgusting building, I find it suspicious that it's a foregone conclusion that it's structurally unsalvageable.

Just spitballing here but it's almost certain that the County will do a deal like what they just did with their headquarters - have a private developer build/own/operate and they will pay rent. The County already has a relationship with Geis and from all accounts is very happy with their new headquarters. Geis is buying up more land in the area of E. 9th and Prospect. Should we be looking at that spot? Edit: Any County deal like that would have to go through the public bidding process. But if Geis is looking, the locational advantage of having all County functions in one area may be key when the County weighs options.

But what facts exactly? The number of shots? 100 shots sure seems like a lot and I would be surprised if that was true. The facts are basically: a guy was standing on the street corner in the ghetto and two kids came up and robbed him. He subsequently will not cooperate with the cops. What is the basis of disbelief here?

Weird to most of functional society? Sure. But most routine ghetto violence follows facts very similar to the ones in the article. Most of the crime, killing, and mayhem in the 'hood isn't a whole lot more sophisticated than that. It is a truly anarchic dystopia.

Pretty close to all of them? Our corners play man coverage, not zone. Haden was Cooper the entire game barring the few plays he sat out due to injury. Therefore almost all his catches were against Haden. Same with Brandon Marshall in week 1. You can go back and review the game. EDIT: Josh DubowVerified account @JoshDubowAP Per @PFF, Carr threw at Joe Haden 6 times. All 6 were completions to Amari Cooper for 87 yards EDIT #2: Sorry, I'm not even seeking this stuff out - I'm just coming across it on my Monday postgame article routine: "2. Joe Haden Has A Long Way To Go To Get To “Elite” Yesterday, Derek Carr threw 6 passes into Joe Haden’s coverage. All six were completed. Haden, on the season, has given up as many touchdowns as he has passes defended. On the year, Haden has received an overall -6.0 rating from PFF. Quarterbacks passing in his directions have an average of a 137.0 rating (out of a perfect 158.3), and 71.4% of all passes thrown at Haden have been caught. He is nowhere near approaching elite, and even if he bounces back this year, this pattern of him being awful for the first 4-5 weeks of the year is getting really old." http://www.dawgpoundnation.com/2015/09/28/3-quick-takes-from-browns-vs-raiders/ I empathize with DBs given the new draconian rules. That said, Haden got absolutely bullied by Brandon Marshall and Amari Cooper all game and I suspect we will be seeing more of that this season. Go back and watch the tape. If you're 5-11 and 195 lbs soaking wet, you aren't ever going to be able to consistently set the tone with a receiver who's 6-4 230lb - even if you have "ELITE" tattooed across your eyeballs. Joe Haden is a marketable player. A good player on an otherwise barren team. He has an affable personality and is very active on social media. He sells jerseys and he's a fan favorite. The media (local and national) like him a lot and give him huge props. Therefore he gets the "Elite" title without having the play to back that up. He's an good, serviceable corner but nothing close to "Elite." Saying that other teams would take him doesn't prove much either. Tashaun Gipson has tremendous talent, however. He moves excellently in open space and has shown an ability to read plays. I would peg him as the most talented DB on this team b-b-b-by far.

B-b-b-but Haden is an elite corner and our secondary is the best in the league. Above anything else, the DB's completely delusional confidence is the most infuriating.

I woke up last night around 2 am to the sound of mass sirens. I flipped on my police scanner app and listened to the thing develop. At one point the dispatchers had every available zone car in the City headed downtown to assist the officers. I heard reports that there were multiple people fighting with the officers on scene. This was in connection to a dispute at "The Bank" nightclub located in the basement of the May Company Building. That place needs to go immediately.- Ridesourcing

Hhmmmmm, this is speculation but maybe Welty's move can be interpreted as a sign that the 515 project may be starting to form. Will be interesting to see if another tenant takes the space or not.- Cleveland Browns Discussion
