Nothing, it's not part of the scope. Could give it a nice new neighbor though. Indeed, however I remember hearing chatter that the City was trying to negotiate with Greyhound to relocate and use this station as a possible development site. I don't remember what, if anything, happened of the conversation.

It's not just you - I've been happy to find it very easy to get cabs from downtown, Ohio City, and even University Circle. I couldn't say the same thing a couple years ago.

Take with a grain of salt: DJ Stephfloss (a dj from Cleveland who is friends with LeBron) just posted this on his instagram: If I'm not mistaken, those are Cavs colors and "The Banquet" plays nicely into the Cavaliers and "King" imagery. LeBron had a meeting with Nike earlier today.

Standard Building fetches $3.9 million in sale to Weston, Inc. for apartment conversion "CLEVELAND, Ohio -- A downtown Cleveland office building owned by a labor union for the last 90 years changed hands Tuesday for $3.9 million. Real estate records show that Weston, Inc., a Warrensville Heights developer, closed its purchase of the Standard Building on Tuesday morning. First renters move into former East Ohio Building, now the Residences at 1717 (gallery) "Now dubbed the Residences at 1717, the East Ohio Building lived its first life as a modernist office tower. The K&D Group, an apartment developer and manager based in Willoughby, bought the empty building last year and launched a residential conversion that should be finished next spring. The first two floors of apartments opened on Tuesday. Doug Price, K&D's chief executive officer, expects to open two additional floors every three weeks, until the 21-story building is full. The % of affordable units is contingent on the funding source. For example, the Tremont Pointe project was funded through the Hope VI federal program and is 50% market rate and 50% subsidized. 90% of new low income housing is built by the private market using Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC). Developers apply for and chose to have 20% or 40% of the units subsidized and are awarded the appropriate LIHTC amount in return. Of course, developers can also chose to offer up to 100% at subsidized rates. Also, there are some parcels have HUD restrictions attached to the deed. This was an early consideration in the Upper Chester project which had HUD restrictions on some of the parcels requiring them to be offered at subsidized rates. Luckily, HUD released those deed restrictions but only in return for a low income component to be added to the project (I think they decided on low income senior housing). Is crime really getting worse in the Heights (as it seems) or is this increased attention the product of the Northeast Ohio Media Group's restructured reporting scheme? Do we have statistics on this? How about those who live in the Heights - does crime seem to be better, worse or about the same to you?
