Cleveland Browns Discussion
I like Hue a lot. Seems like a highly competent man and he has a great demeanor. It's gonna be a shame when he's railroaded out of town in 2 years as the dumpster fire burns ever hotter.

Cincinnati Bengals Discussion
And he shall be attacked by Bengals players with impunity!!! Was not an active field btw, the game was stopped for significant time due to injury.

Cincinnati Bengals Discussion
This thread has become a near scripted example of confirmation bias. This is coming from someone who has hated the Steelers before I understood what football was.

Those appear to have true english basements. Somewhat rare to find in Cleveland. Super cool.

Cincinnati Bengals Discussion
Unabashedly one of the dirtiest players in the game right now. Remember this? http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000411288/article/vontaze-burfict-fined-25k-for-ankletwisting-incidents Disgusting. He was also completely out of control at ASU. You live by the gun, you die by the gun, I guess.

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
Yes....but estimates exist so we don't have to make hundred million dollar dice rolls and wait around for ex post results. The question is if those estimates are accurate and well founded.

Cleveland: Mayor Frank Jackson
Of course they can. But democratic politics is a game of odds. I think the scenario you are hoping for is possible, but very unlikely.

Cleveland: Mayor Frank Jackson
I would consider it one's current assessment of Jackson versus the universe of likely mayoral candidates. This cannot be the best we can do. I have to believe there is a better leader somewhere in this city. Yes, there are probably many great and better leaders somewhere in this City. But are they going to successfully run for mayor and are their leadership qualities going to translate to a successful and competent administration? Maybe, but probably not (imo).

There were a good amount in downtown Cleveland this past weekend for Sunday's game - they gave me the mega creeps.

Cleveland: Mayor Frank Jackson
If Jackson decides not to run for this upcoming term and if you had to put odds on it - what are the chances we end up with a "better" candidate running and winning versus getting a "worse" mayor? That's a hard question to quantify but I put it at 30/70%.

Miscellaneous Ohio Political News
I'm always torn about claiming Langston Hughes as a Clevelander because he spent such little time here so early in his life.

Miscellaneous Ohio Political News
My vote is for Garrett A. Morgan. He was an entrepreneur, inventor, and community leader. He filed the first patent for the 3 position traffic signal (yellow light). Cleveland prides itself on industrial entrepreneurship and we like having the legacy of the first traffic light at 105th and Euclid (not Morgan's design, though). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garrett_Morgan

Cleveland: Downtown: Mall Development and News
The event was supposed to be put on by a non-profit that failed to attract corporate donors/sponsors. Pretty sure the park stuff is public money. Very different pots of funds here. Either way, "Cleveland" as a monolithic entity didn't do anything.
