I KNEW we'd finally get that comprehensive subway system we have all dreamed about!

It's the Third district, that's who covers downtown

There is one on E. 45th and Chester.

Cleveland: Downtown: Justice Center Complex Replacement
Maybe this was stated already, but, shouldn't they find available property and draw up the conceptual building accordingly rather than draw up the building concept and then hope they find land that will fit the building?

Cleveland: Hotel Development
Delta...at least it's not Omicron by Marriott! Seriously though. I can remember years back being there for a St Paddy's day party (only a quick stop) and it was a complete dump. I felt like I needed a shower after leaving. This will be a welcome alternative for this part of downtown.

That sounds like a firefighter schedule! ;)

Medina County: Development and News
I drove by it today and it seems to be coming along nicely, but I don't know the opening date. I am more interested in when there will be a groundbreaking for the mixed use building next to Sully's by the Square in Medina.

Seeing cars kind of "populate" in the video along with the music, makes me feel like I am watching a Sim City trailer.

From my experiences, I wouldn't be shocked if this were on the city. I am currently (and recently) retired from the Cleveland Fire Department. The bureaucracy of any HQ, and city hall especially, moves at a snails pace. It seems any office at city hall is staffed to the hilt, but when you walk in to get anything done, you get ignored to an almost unbearable level. I am hoping that Mayor elect Bibb will streamline services, cut red tape, and will hopefully set new standards in how departments operate. I was up in the air about who I wanted as Mayor...experience with the inner workings of business relationships with the city OR fresh new ideas. I am hopeful that businesses and corporations will have an easier time with the new administration.

But will this shed be a "supertall"? Seriously though, it will be so awesome to see that lot turn into a giant new tower downtown! I hope there will be a few more cranes in the near future (City Club, Magellan, and who knows what else)

When these kind of updated renderings are made public, do they usually include signage and/or lighting on the building or would that be something that comes later?

"If"?!?!?

Out of curiosity, what is the good argument for the Lakefront location?

Cleveland: Downtown: nuCLEus
^ Are any of the projects lining up a the door "new construction" with any significant height? I guess I am thinking Magellan, Justice Center (if eligible), Cleveland Cliffs, etc? It seems there are lot of good rehab projects on the docket, it would be nice to see some cranes in the sky though.

I get, we should be happy that SW stayed and like has been mentioned, this is a place of business and they are free to do what they feel fit. That being said, I am still disappointed that they didn't do a better job of making the HQ iconic. It is nice, but that is about it...nice. I wonder how many other companies in, let's say NYC, take the time to buy prime real estate to build one average building, then surround it with low rise parking and a training center. They build the training center on the prime real estate, then build the tower on the secondary lot and surround it with a parking garage...all in the name of "respect" to the other buildings around it. You could probably build 6 to 8 SW HQ's on the land available. Instead, they build a campus with a tower thrown in. I AM glad they stayed, I AM glad there will be a new high rise downtown...but man, what a blown opportunity. Imagine if the Weston plan would have came about and the SW HQ would have been put on the Jacob's lot. Just my opinion.

I wonder if SW idea of a fountain for public use would be a drinking fountain...I'm thinking more like the opening credits for Married With Children (Chicago...and yes I just dated myself)

This is posted in Ohio Business and Economy as well. Will this have any impact on the HQ? Might they need more space here or will these operation be strictly in Europe? https://www.coatingsworld.com/contents/view_breaking-news/2021-08-20/sika-to-divest-european-industrial-coatings-business-to-sherwin-williams/

Disappointing...or maybe not. Too many "maybe's", but maybe the sign is gone because the site is spoken for by a developer...maybe

There seems to be so much more work to be done, what is the latest estimated date of completion?

Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
Outdoor gambling huh? Well, I hope security will be on point. Remember when the place first opened up? It seemed like the safest place in the city, now, meh...

So who is going to ask? Ok, I will.. do people wish this could've been the 1000 footer or are you happy with multiple structures?
