  1. Recently noticed that a parking lot in front of Lutheran Hospital on W25th across from the apartment towers was excavated. Is there new construction going there or is it simply a case of the parking lot being resurfaced? It's either at W25th and Jay or W25th and Vestry.
  2. Since when did RTA reduce the Red Line frequency to every 30 minutes after 8:00pm? I was under the impression they ran every 15 minutes but recall waiting over 20 minutes for a train after an Indians game in early September. Is this adjusted for special events downtown? Wouldn't this hurt people taking the Rapid to Cavs games this season?
  3. ^^ Not the most thorough analysis of economic conditions in NEO. No data about types of jobs lost by sector, average income of jobs lost, etc. A lot of loaded vocabulary without the data to back it up.
  4. Any updates on the 1750 Euclid Ave student housing? I have not seen evidence of demolition starting yet. Litt's article from January stated that the developer hoped to break ground Spring 2014 with the intent of opening Fall Semester 2015.
  5. The Ohio City bikes this fall are a pilot test run. From the cleveland.com article: "And they say Cleveland's pilot network of 34 Breezers at six stations could expand to perhaps 200 bikes and other neighborhoods, including University Circle, in the spring."
  6. First time posting on this site... As a huge baseball fan, the Colorado Rockies' recent renovations of Coors Field come to mind as a benchmark. Like Progressive Field, Coors Field had a third deck in right field, and they replaced most of the seats with a "rooftop party deck," which can be seen in the photo attached below and on photo galleries on the Rockies website. I wouldn't be surprised if something similar is in the works for Progressive Field. IMO, the 500 level in right field there are some of the worst seats in any park in baseball, as they are about 500 feet from home plate and 150 feet up, so they will not be missed. Plus, I attended the Indians-Royals game on July 4 and noticed that despite the game officially being a sellout, the right field upper deck tickets were not sold and were draped with an American flag.
