  1. As a grad of the U of A chemistry program, ive spent lots of time in that building.... i like the sculpture as a work of art and the blue is very striking.... but i wish it has been something more obviously chemistry related. A long chain of oversized silicone molecules perhaps, reaching to the sky.....I just didnt see the connection with the polymer building... Big deal, its made of a polymer. So is my computer. Perhaps I just dont understand art. :)
  2. thanks. whats that snickers like anyhow? i saw it for the first time today.
  3. does anyone know who to contact regarding potential sales of these townhouses on the eveready site or when they might be inhabitable? I took a peek at the site today and it looks interesting!
  4. i dont know... laziness I guess! lack of knowledge about what is needed to purchase something (i guess i thought you needed 20% down). i think my apartment is 1100 sq feet, so thats why some of these townhomes sound and feel small to me. thats just me. yes, i noticed the sign in the nutrition store window to which you refer. i dont know. on my rockport site plan that area in not included in the plan. I talked to the developer and it wasnt mentioned. these are probably going to be really nice too... but quite expensive and they only offer a 5 yr tax abatement (50% for the final 3 years) while cleveland offers 15 years. heather muro at progressive urban should know.
  5. wow, thats great. I didnt know about those townhomes going up just down the road from where im looking. am i the only one who thinks 1000-1500 sq. feet is pretty small though? glad its happening though! thanks for the links!
  6. X, The gazebo IS unfinished! The builder is going to finish that gazebo underside with copper, which will match the copper awnings that are not in place yet either...... And the planters.... yes, they need to be landscaped. Right now, there are 2 foot tall weeds in them! The developer originally way overpriced the place. Hes just now getting into the "do able" range. So the place has been kind of sitting half done for awhile now.... Im glad you all like the place. Were trying to figure out what to bid on it (corner unit) and we are VERY nervous and excited! It will be our first place that we own. Of all the townhouses we looked at in Cleveland (all of them) its the only one that we were actually impressed by. We didnt look @ shilling square becuase we wanted new construction, but Ive seen the photos of the inside and they look very cool and contemporary! We're hoping with the Chicle building being improved on one side and Rockport square on the other, this area will have some good potential for growth. I just found this forum today. Im very glad to be here. So many people in my family think we are :drunk: for moving into Cleveland when everyone else is moving out! cinna
