Yes. There is a gate blocking the walkway I believe. I think they only open it for events, like Browns games.

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
1) Such a weird system. I guess you could get away with the transfer by transferring at East 55th. 2) Im with you 100%, but RTA just removed all of the turnstiles so they are going the opposite direction.

What do we have that is unique? Thats what we should focus on. And are we attracting tourists or potential future residents? Two completely different campaigns.

Cleveland: Demolition Watch
^ Main streets/commercial streets don't exist in Cleveland anymore. For the most part its miles of abandoned/demolished buildings. Even our active neighborhoods only have an intact commercial district of about 1/4 mile long. Not that impressive and hard to build off of. And we continue to let things get worse.

Cleveland: TV / Film Industry News
The day I can pay a low fee for the few channels I actually want will be a great one. I doubt that will happen though. Instead Ill have 300 channels, 5 of which I actually watch. have you tried going back to rabbit ears? They've made a comeback http://www.nytimes.com/2010/12/06/business/media/06rabbitears.html?pagewanted=all I've thought about it. I know they make modern antennas without the rabbit ears that get HD channels. And TiVo works with them so you can record your shows which is necessary for me. I need to look into it more but I think it would be about a $250 start up cost with only a $15 per month fee. It would be nice to be able to get certain cable channels too but most of the shows I watch are on the major networks anyways.

Cleveland: Flats East Bank
Thanks for the response. Its can be hard to get people on transit in a system that can require a lot of transfers and long intervals. Especially when getting to the train also requires a decent length car ride. A unified and expanded system where all trains run into tower city and along the waterfront line LOOP(with massive TOD) should do it!

Cleveland: Flats East Bank
No statistical evidence, but my experience has been that there are anywhere from 0 to 4 people on the train. I think ridership is still VERY low. Anyone who rides it daily have any different experience?

Cleveland: Transit Ideas for the Future
Exactly. A lot of people already think the Red Line is light rail. They don't know the difference. The overhead wires probably don't help but I doubt even that plays much of a factor. They just think it's light rail which is not a big deal.

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
In Cleveland, the majority of new housing developments are townhouses, where wooden frame construction makes sense. There haven't been a lot of larger construction projects. Uptown used steel and concrete. So did the Avenue District Tower The Langston and this project used wood framing. What other large projects have their been? What is happening elsewhere? The residential towers going up elsewhere obviously use steel.

A friend of mine is marketing that property/development, and has been pushing hard on it. I'll ask him whats new. He showed some renderings about a month ago. Pretty snazzy. How's the view from up there MayDay? So what did your friend say? Id like to additional renderings

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
They have a couple other issues as well. Broken ramps Inoperable bus horns Bus hand rail disconnected from floor. (Atleast on one bus)

^ This building is just too small and looks stupid in context. If they really want to pull of that time square look, they need to go much bigger.

Cleveland: Downtown & Vicinity Residences Discussion
They EY building is commanding about $30 sqft, which is the highest in the city. The Hanna building annualized residential rent would be $13.80 sqft. I'm surprised E&Y is commanding only $30 sqft; rents in Key Tower range in the mid $30s to low $40s; regardless, those kind of numbers don't really make sense for residential purposes in Cleveland at least. "The asking rate at Key Tower is about $27 to $29 a square foot. " http://www.crainscleveland.com/article/20130510/FREE/130519971#
