Cleveland: Cleveland State University: Development and News
What a terrible project. The Euclid side is terrible, prospect side pathetic, and east 21st street still unfriendly

Cleveland: Downtown: Huntington Bank Field
That's basically the entire project. More advertising space which they sold to the city as a way to improve "fan experience"

Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
^That's what ive been saying! I think it might even possible to consolidate both operations to Burke. The land on the northern tip would be perfect for the port.

Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
Key parts "Jackson went on to say that the city would continue to use Burke “in the near future, because alternative use for redevelopment at this time is not realistic.” He said that the cost of dealing with the environmental hazards of the site, a former landfill, wouldn’t make sense financially for most developers"

And these thugs need to be locked up for good! Stop the revolving door. And charge them with a hate crime while you are at it

^^ Talk to any law enforcement officer and they will most likely tell you that today the youth is much more confident and not afraid of punishment.

Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
The youth is very troubled these days. Things seem to be getting worse too. This generation is much worse than the previous. "Three CSU students were walking in the area of E30th and Prospect. The students walked past a large group of approximately 12 black male/female juveniles. Five black male juveniles attacked one the students from behind and a wallet was taken. Two suspects were described as 15/16 years old, one wearing a pink hoodie and blue jeans and the other wearing a dark colored hoodie with an unknown colored zig zag pattern and blue jeans. The suspects fled south bound on E30th to Carnegie then east bound on Carnegie. "

Three teens arrested for Public Square beating We're digging for more answers after the latest attack by violent teens downtown. Kenneth Matthews is out on bond and facing charges for alleged attempts to steal cell phones. Recently, the RTA police busted him for trying to steal a woman's cell phone at the West 25th Rapid Station. Matthews is also charged for trespassing at Tower City. Records show he was hanging there after police told him repeatedly to leave. Ronald Reid Williams is also charged with the attack on Army vet Matthew Robinson. A 16-year old girl, who police say videotaped the violence with her cell phone, was also arrested. Robinson tells 19 Action News he was jumped and racial slurs were yelled at him. No one stepped in to help him. http://m.19actionnews.com/#!/more-news-detail/24708361?orgId=68- Cleveland: Hotels, Conventions, and Tourism News & Info
Cleveland 'quiet' as Columbus mayor makes big play for Republican presidential convention in 2016 CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland and Columbus both are on the list of possible sites for the Republican presidential convention in 2016. But only one is making an aggressive push for it this week as top GOP decision-makers hear pitches in Washington. ... Denver, Kansas City and Las Vegas are among the other cities pressing their cases. Cleveland, where Mayor Frank Jackson and Cuyahoga County Executive Ed FitzGerald both have expressed an interest in landing a convention, is not, according to a Republican source. The city’s absence could leave it behind the pace in the competition. ... Positively Cleveland, the convention and visitors bureau, also does not have a presence at the RNC meetings. Bureau spokeswoman Jennifer Kramer said in an email that “there are still many decisions being made with regard to the pitch and the next steps.” http://www.cleveland.com/open/index.ssf/2014/01/cleveland_quiet_as_columbus_ma.html- Cleveland: Little Italy: Development and News
Love it. For sale units seem to do very well in Little Italy. New apartments would probably do great too since even the extremely outdated units go fast.- Cleveland Hopkins International Airport
^Could the city trade the Burke land to the port for their land? The port's land is much more valuable to development since it is better connected to downtown and is at the mouth of the Cuyahoga River. How long would it take for the Port to move? I don't know much about the Port, but it appears to be just a completely paved surface with a few warehouses on it. Doesn't seem like a massive project. If possible that would be my dream for the space. The port land (not portland) even has space for a transit stop! Another plus over Burke. Edit: Would it be possible to consolidate both the port and burke to the burke land? There appears to be a lot of land not being used by the airport which could be perfect for the port and would allow for you to keep the airport as well.- Weather
- Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
Thank you. Most likely bureaucratic inertia. Much like Division of Water and NEORSD wanting separate checks and envelopes for so long. The rationale has been that it would cost too much in terms of electrical power to provide ticket vending machines at the many Blue/Green stops (which contain the most rail stops in RTA's rail network). However, I think that's a weak excuse. Not only does the current system make the Blue and Green lines unnecessarily slow and confusing (to new/casual WFL and Red Line transfer users), it's a capital cost that could (I'm sure) be 50% funded by FTA... an application that would likely be approved noting the above as well as the potential to attract more riders to the system. the solution is to put the fare machines on the Train, and move to a smart card payment system. Each train would have a fare machine. and validation machines would be placed at each door, so you could tap and go as you enter the train. That would be great for reducing damage caused by weather and vandalism.- My snowy Cleveland commute

The cedar hill multi-use path should be great. I bet you see more people walking, and especially biking down it to University Circle or the red line station. Especially true if the Cedar-Fairmount streetscape occurs this spring along with plans to develop the top of the hill.- Cleveland Rapid Rail Construction Projects (Non-Service Issues)
Is there any plan to improve the conditions of the walkway under the bridges and the bridges themselves. They are in terrible shape.- Cleveland: Downtown: The 9 / Rotunda / County Admin Development
Ill have to see it in person, but so far it does looks similar to the East Ohio Gas building (one of the ugliest buildings I have seen, and the worst in downtown IMO.)- Another Dumb-a$$ List / Ranking of Cities
Here is a very cool map of recent projects in Toronto. Its CRAZY how much development is happening up there! Some really cool projects. Imagine if we even had a 5% of that! (For some reason it starts away from downtown. Downtown is to the right, you will notice it by all the dots. Grey dots are recently completed projects and blue are current projects.) http://urbantoronto.ca/map/ - Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
