  1. ^ I think you're reading too much into that.

I better see you all at the corner of Carnegie and Ontario next week.

12 in a row and counting...
  4. I'm not saying I doubt the authenticity of the story, but Scene's only source is from WKYC, so I wouldn't say that makes it official
  5. Edit: mrclifton88[/member] beat me to it in the Galleria thread: http://www.urbanohio.com/forum2/index.php/topic,11495.msg808611/topicseen.html#new Chick-Fil-A is opening next week at the Galleria food court! http://www.wkyc.com/news/local/cleveland-chick-fil-a-to-open-in-the-galleria/259530611
  6. Unfortunately, that information is not correct. Downtown's population is growing, but the city's overall population is still on the decline.
  7. Agreed. This project is moving very quickly. If they can make the same progress in the next two weeks as they did in the previous two weeks, then I think it's very doable.

^ The Indians have said they expect at least three 30,000+ crowds during the next home stand. I suspect the 4th of July will be a sellout, or very close to it

Longest win streak in my lifetime. Yes, that includes the 90s teams
  10. Interesting that Scene does not mention that he likely got the job because his dad is a former prosecutor and is politically powerful. At least when Kerry McCormack got appointed they mentioned his dad in passing. Children of powerful parents are incapable of getting jobs on their own merit?
  11. Public Square is now open to the public

Official estimates seem to be listing between 1 and 1.3 million. Here's a pic from Dustin Fox:

  14. First look: Rebol bar-restaurant to open in Public Square By John Petkovic, The Plain Dealer Email the author | Follow on Twitter on June 22, 2016 at 5:01 AM, updated June 22, 2016 at 5:53 AM CLEVELAND, Ohio -- For decades, Public Square seemed more like a vacant lot than the bustling heart of the city. It's the place you walk through en route to some other destination. No more, if all goes according to plan. Make that many plans – including Rebol. The 2,000-square-foot restaurant-bar is set to open on the southern edge of Public Square. http://www.cleveland.com/entertainment/index.ssf/2016/06/first_look_rebol_bar-restauran.html

^ It's being reported by WKYC. How does this happen? http://www.wkyc.com/mb/sports/nba/cavaliers/oversight-no-porta-potties-for-cleveland-cavaliers-championship-parade/251462655
  18. ^ That's not a very high bar these days. Our trains and tracks at least don't regularly catch on fire.
  19. ^ About 5,000
  20. Welp, guess it's not happening. The parade is ending at Mall B

Hopefully they can pull in some decent walk-up crowds these next two games as the Cleveland diaspora returns to the North Coast for the parade tomorrow.

^ It would then go north on East 9th probably to Lakeside..
  25. Not sure how much should be read into this, but I got this response a few days ago from the Public Square Twitter account after saying I wish the square could have opened by Sunday @CLEPublicSquare @TomHorsman well a parade would happen later in the week right? #InTheSquare
