^ I'm guessing it will be pretty clear. Especially since we've had over a year of no traffic through Superior, so I wouldn't worry about that

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
Joe C has announced this week that a six month "flash pass" mobile farecard pilot program will be rolling out in June or July through Passport (https://passportinc.com/). Also, work is continuing with Xerox on a smartcard. They still have a number of kinks that need to be worked out. I assume we'll be getting more info about those in the near future.

I'm curious to see how the vote will end up breaking down. There's always an option of a mayoral veto though...

Cleveland City Council
I haven't seen this discussion elsewhere, but if there would be a better thread for it, please feel free to movie it. Thought it would fit here since legislation will be going before city council. Am I missing something here? Can someone explain to me how this would be a good idea for the City of Cleveland? I mean that genuinely. Cities that have adopted a $15 min wage are places like San Francisco and Seattle. I worry that this is way too high for Cleveland. Also, it's very easy for a business to relocate outside of city limits (or for a business to decide to not locate within city limits in the first place) than it would be if this were implemented at the state level. The tagline for Raise Up Cleveland (the group behind the effort) is "Make poverty history." I'd be willing to make a bet that poverty will still be very much a part of our lives in Cleveland even if this minimum wage increase is passed. Cleveland Council to introduce legislation setting $15/hr minimum wage By Leila Atassi, cleveland.com on May 11, 2016 at 5:21 PM, updated May 11, 2016 at 5:35 PM CLEVELAND, Ohio – Compelled by a petition drive that caught fire last month, Cleveland City Council on Monday will introduce legislation boosting the minimum wage in the city to $15 an hour. According to a news release Wednesday, Council Clerk Pat Britt has notified Raise Up Cleveland, a group that petitioned for the wage hike, that it collected enough signatures to compel the council to take up the issue. http://www.cleveland.com/cityhall/index.ssf/2016/05/cleveland_council_to_introduce.html

Part of me kind of likes the harbor/moat idea and part of me hates it. I don't think it would work well as currently depicted, but I'm intrigued by extending water into the site.

Cleveland: Nautica Development
^ Agreed. And this is so early in the process, that I'm sure those things will be addressed. There's no need for anyone to freak out over anything yet. I also hope by the time this comes to fruition, the connection between the east and west bank will be better with increased use of the water taxi (and integration with RTA's fare system so the WFL could be used more easily). Would eventually be nice to have some sort of pedestrian swing bridge crossing the river at this point too...

The signage should be up soon. It's interesting to compare this signage to that of the development across the street. Much more professional and tasteful.

Cleveland's most prominent landmark, Terminal Tower, goes under contract to K&D Forest City to sell Terminal Tower, launch search for new HQ; K&D plans apartments at Tower City May 06, 2016 By STAN BULLARD In a transaction that puts the location of its corporate headquarters in play, Forest City Realty Trust Inc. (NYSE: FCEA, FCEB) has agreed to sell Terminal Tower to Willoughby-based K&D Group, which plans to convert 10 floors to as many as 300 apartments. Forest City would lease its headquarters office back until 2018, when installation of the apartments likely would begin, primarily on the larger lower floors primarily occupied by Forest City, according to K&D Group CEO Doug Price. Forest City is not spelling out its next move, beyond acknowledging it will exit Terminal Tower. http://www.crainscleveland.com/article/20160506/NEWS/160509839/clevelands-most-prominent-landmark-terminal-tower-goes-under
