Wow, thanks for posting that! I know that block, it's one of the few fully intact blocks in that neighborhood. I had no idea it had made so much progress though.
  2. Wow, 219 apartments is a big deal!
  3. Wow, you had a great view!

Cool! Those buildings in the middle were gone before I moved here.
  13. Some shots of these two county seats I took last summer. The Town of Liberty is the county seat for Union County, Indiana. The town has a population of 2,133 (2010 census) and when entire county has a population of only 7,516. 15. I don't have any photos but I was shopping at the Market District today and saw steel is starting to go up on one of the Nationwide buildings.

I love it, but most the year you can't get good shots of it because of the trees. Even here I would have rather taken a picture of them head-on too but the parking lot across the street has an ugly fence that would get in the shot if I were to try to get the whole building.

I don't want this to be my photo thread, I want it to be everyone's! If you take a lot of pictures like I do you end up with pictures from all over the place. Sometimes you only have one or two shots of a certain place which isn't really enough for a new photo thread. That's why the forum has threads for random photos in the state's big cities, but I think it also needs something for the rest of the state's villages and small cities. That's what I want this thread to be for, small numbers of photos taken in small town Ohio, rural Ohio, forgotten Ohio, etc. For the first photos I will post photos of the best named unincorporated community in the state. Thanks! I'm sure many of my photos are cliche, but when I visit someplace for the first time (like this) the most popular views are probably going to be what I find first.

I'm not really familiar with the area so maybe OHKID can answer the question better. In another shot I didn't post there was a sign for the house that said "Move In August 15th, 2014" so I think it was becoming apartments. I figured this was just a renovation/restoration and wanted to see what it looked like before so I looked on Google Streetview which showed it in 2013. In the Streetview the entire roof is gone and there is a big arson notice offering a reward for information. I found a couple of news stories about the original fire but nothing more recent. I assume the fraternity found a new home.
  23. Great! Let's hope they get started right away.

I spent a short amount of time in Oxford after visiting Hamilton. I now wish I had explored a little more, but here is what I got. The Zachariah Price Dewitt Cabin sits just outside of the city.
