  1. The site has been cleared for the second LC Tower. I have to say though I will be interested to see how these turn out. The renderings make it look like each site will have 2 towers, but the sites don't look deep enough for that.
  2. Thanks for that update. I was wondering when that thing would go away.
  3. It seems like it has taken a very long time but this is finally above ground level.
  4. Some updated photos of the North Campus construction

A few pictures I took in Beaver and Beaver Falls. Both are located in Beaver County, PA. The first picture is of Beaver Bridge, a railroad bridge that crosses the Ohio River just after the Beaver River joins it. The bridge is just outside the borough limits of Beaver. Beaver Bridge by Eridony, on Flickr Beaver Bridge by Eridony, on Flickr The Borough (or Boro as they spell it) of Beaver is the county seat of Beaver County. In 2010 Beaver had a population of 4,531. Almost the entire community is located in a Nation Historic District. Beaver has an old freight station and passenger station that are both owned by the Beaver Area Heritage Foundation. 6. You can add all the sidewalks and bike paths you want but the design of the developments are still auto-oriented and that won't change anytime soon.
  7. I was also surprised but it seems the city has a land area of only 3.3 square miles. They do not seem to like annexation in Pennsylvania.
  8. A couple of the The View on High project. Looks like it's getting close to completion.
  9. I try to plan my photo-trips around the weather forecast. Of course that doesn't always work out but I got pretty lucky on this trip.
  10. There pictures were taken on a Sunday and it didn't feel dead to me.
  11. This was my first visit to Pittsburgh and it blew me away. I figured I would like it (there really aren't any cities I don't like), but it exceeded all expectations. I especially liked how the topography of the city made it easy to get some good urban shots. When I first got into the city I had no idea where I was going so I found a place to park on the street. That street happen to border Dequesne University and had a large university parking structure next to it. So of course I climbed the stairs to the top. So here is my first picture I took in the city. 12. Work going on at the Trotter’s Gate development. I think the first building is retail, although I never did see a site plan for this. The rest of site has activity all over it. I bet the apartment buildings will go up fast.
  13. Progress on Bishop's Walk seems to be moving slowly, but it's getting there.

  15. I know everyone has been waiting for this momentous occasion and now it looks like Domino's is ready to open its downtown location.
  16. It's been a while since any updates were done on this project. I didn't even think about checking out the progress on the back though.
  17. Thanks guys! I like what Nada did mostly because it sticks out from the rest of the building, you really notice it. I totally agree about that corner, casey. Nada is right across the street from Nationwide Arena. There should be another space like that right across from Huntington Park.
  18. It seems there are always photos of projects under construction but not many when the project is done. I know there are some here of the Columbia Gas building basically completed, but none include the new restaurant. So here are a few exterior shots.
  19. Wow, I turn my back on this thread for a few days figuring it would have gone back into hibernation only to find it exploded with activity. I don't see why this has to be an argument of Columbus verses Cincinnati verses Cleveland. The fact is that Columbus became the most populous city in the state through a massive amount of annexation that has now dropped to almost nothing. The population continues to rise though so of course density is increasing. As a residence of Columbus I feel this is a good thing.
  20. I visited Washington, Pennsylvania early in the morning so the shadows are a little longer than I would have liked. Washington is the county seat of Washington County. In 2010 the population was 13,663. The city has a small land area though so it has some decent density. 21. I can't tell from the angle. Is there room for a shelter there?
