Eridony replied to Summit Street's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionGreat to read. I hope that they keep increasing the supply of downtown housing and maybe one day I'll be able to afford to live down there.

Annexation and City Size 1950-2010
Pretty much. I can't recall any big annexations since the westside casino. Here's the current city boundary as of Nov. 2013: http://columbus.gov/uploadedFiles/Columbus/Departments/Development/Planning_Division/Map_Center/Columbus%20Corporate%20Boundary.pdf Thanks for that map. I'd love to see Columbus take over a bunch of those little islands of unincorporated townships

Annexation and City Size 1950-2010
Sorry for digging up an old thread, but I've been interested in the Columbus annexation subject since I arrived here last year. It seems like annexation has slowed greatly. Does anyone have any information on land being annexed since 2010? The only area I've heard of recently annexed was the casino site.

Yes, it is the Scioto Audubon Metro Park and it is adjacent to the Brewery District. I wasn't sure how old the park was, but nothing there looked more than a few years old. There is also a nature center there

I live near the Olentangy and it's been pretty high all summer including right now. Only a few miles away is runs into the Scioto so I don't feel like the river level downtown should be lower than normal. It looks like this is the new normal.- Columbus: Scioto Mile Riverfront Park News

Eridony replied to buildingcincinnati's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionActually, there's been 3 new proposals. Another 6-story has been proposed for 1055 N. High, across from Bodega. http://www.columbusunderground.com/forums/topic/6-story-building-proposed-to-replace-rebecca-ibel-building-in-short-north Excellent! I was hoping you had meant the site just to the south with the old fast food restaurant turned payday loan place, but I'm sure that will come sooner or later. Now lets see some renderings! So far I've only see the conceptual one for 940 North High Street - Newport, KY: Newport on the Levee: Development and News
