First Visit to Cincinnati - April 2014
No I wasn't aware of anything in this neighborhood at all until my visit. I saw the massive "meh" building across the street from this. If they tear down these buildings it looks like very little of the old business district will remain.

I like that corner building. It just needs to be cleaned up.

First Visit to Cincinnati - April 2014
A few shots from my first visit to Cincinnati earlier this year, more can be found at http://www.flickr.com/eridony/. What a wonderful city! I can't wait to go back and explore more areas. On this trip I only saw parts of downtown, Over-The-Rhine, West End, and University of Cincinnati. I also visited Covington and Newport and have already posted photo threads on those two places. My first shots of the city were taken from the Kentucky side. Crossing into the city I guess I missed the singing City Hall YMCA Balloonopus Over-the-Rhine Music Hall Race Street Survivor Future Streetcar Stop Memorial Hall Turret Lofts Hall of Justice Casino Theater William Betts House Random find Dunnhumby Centre Over-the-Rhine Carew Tower P&G Future Carousel Schneider Quad at University of Cincinnati Tangeman University Center McMicken Hall Hughes High School Dieterle Vocal Arts Center

Covington, Kentucky - April 2014
Part of my first visit to Cincinnati I also explored a bit of Newport (already posted a photo thread) and Covington. Here is a selection of photos from that city. Lovell-Graziani House Laidley House Fallis-Lovell House I did the best I could shooting against the sun right at mid-day Ditto Madison Avenue definately feels like stepping back into the mid-20th century. A few more shots of Covington can be found in my Flickr album http://www.flickr.com/photos/eridony/sets/72157645102146387

Columbus: Victorian Village Developments and News
Eridony replied to Summit Street's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionNot sure if I should put this here, or in the Random Development thread, but I noticed a few weeks ago two houses under construction in Victorian Village where Highland Street meets Second Avenue. From Google Streetview it looks like the site used to contain a single house, but the lot has been vacant for some time.

Columbus: Downtown: Convention Center / North Market Area Developments and News
Eridony replied to buildingcincinnati's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionDoesn't look like too much of a tower, but it will bring a small piece of market history out to the public. They should bring back the tradition of ringing it twice a day though.

Eridony replied to buildingcincinnati's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionThe limited file size it what makes it difficult. It looks like Gnoraa figured it out. Thanks for the pictures Gnoraa. That project is progressing fast.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Seven at Broadway
Well I'm about halfway through posting my shots from that day. Only a couple hundred of the better ones though. http://www.flickr.com/eridony Anyway it's been 3 months since I visited and the last pictures in this thread are mine. How is the progress on this building going?

Columbus: Scioto Mile Riverfront Park News
I took these shots last weekend. I noticed how much lower the water is than it was in May. I also noticed how the Santa Maria was sitting in its own private puddle.

Columbus: Italian Village: Jeffrey Park Development
Eridony replied to Summit Street's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionAnother shot of the slow progress of the new building at 1st & 6th. The second and third images are of the demolition of a little green 2-story building on 4th Street. It looks like it was a bar that say between Spring Cleaners and Exile.

Columbus: Downtown: 250 S. High Street
Well I guess there were a lot of photos taken of this project over the weekend, but I'm posting mine anyway. I found it interesting it has already started to change the skyline when viewed from the river (last photo). It will be nice to see it growing up from that vantage point. One question I have is why does the building not go all the way to the corner of High and Main? Is that going to be a small surface lot? Room for a future addition?
