That building I posted above with no roof now has a roof. So I guess that ugly building will be sticking around.

Urban Ohio "Picture Of The Day"
I lived in Missouri for a year. Even though in the state of Missouri an incorporated place under 500 people is a village (over 500 is a city) it seems only "city limit" signs are made. Missouri: State of Small Cities by Brandon Bartoszek, on Flickr I never once saw a sign that said "village limit"

Ohio: Historic Preservation Tax Credit News & Discussion
The latest round of historic tax credits were announced today. There are 19 of them. Cincinnati was awarded the most. You can read the PDF here: Tax Credits Awarded to 19 Historic Preservation Projects

Columbus: Downtown: The Madison / 100 North High
Tax credits approved! Three central Ohio projects awarded state historical preservation tax credits The other two listed in the article are nearby 56 N. High, which was damaged by fire last year, and the Buxton Inn in Granville. I wish the article covered what applications were rejected. Only two projects in Columbus seems small when there were 19 projects statewide to receive the historic tax credits. For comparison Toledo also received two.

Moundsville, West Virginia
A few shots from August, 2014. Moundsville is the seat of Marshall County. In 2010 the population was 9,318. The city got its name from the Adena mounds here. Most of the mounds have been destroyed. You'll notice from my pictures they are very proud of their power lines. Columbus: University District: South Campus Gateway
So I go down High Street often, but I'm not sure I've ever driven down West 9th. So I'm not sure how long this building in the first photo has been topless but it is just west of the old townhomes shown in the rendering. I assume it is part of the property for the 9th & High project. As for the townhomes themselves there was a guy who looked like he was painting the porches. I'm not sure why since I would think major work will be going on there soon. I wasn't really paying very close attention to him though, so I may be mistaken about what he was doing.
