  1. I wonder if they plan on powerwashing and treating the exterior stone. This is really going to sparkle when they're finished
  2. Strange... it's amazing what you can afford when you don't pay taxes. Will these apartments be for everyone, or just cult- I mean church members? These mega churches (whether you consider the People's Church a mega church or not) are disturbing to say the least, the fact that they're entering the housing market is bizarre and feels like a new arm of their grift.
  3. Am I the only one that liked that building? It's sort of, I don't know the style- post-brutalist, imposing brick walls nestled in the trees was always aesthetically pleasing to me. I think losing Crosley and the law building will be regretted down the line.
  4. I'd rather they clean up the Kenwood Macy's-- maybe renovate, focus on quality over quantity when it comes to merchandise, and turn that god forsaken cesspool of a Dillard's into a Bloomingdale's. I could see Macy's opening a Bloomies, their new small footprint concept, in Kenwood before a Bloomingdale's, however. Feels like Nordstrom has taken the opposite approach, focusing more on their rack stores while their full line stores, including Kenwood, sit half empty. When I visited Nordstrom at Kenwood last it looked like it was having a going out of business sale. I worked there when it opened and they offered dozens of new to market designers, but now it's basically the same merchandise you can get at Macy's. Which is surprising considering all the new luxury stores opening in that wing of the mall, you'd think they'd want to better compete. I find the evolution of Kenwood to be very interesting, but it seems like it's sitting comfortable in its current condition rather than trying to change and adapt to stay ahead of a continuously evolving retail landscape. Easton up in Columbus is constantly moving stores around and changing the anatomy of the mall, they're opening a massive new LV and just built a whole new section of retail. Wondering if Kenwood will try to incorporate housing or some other form of experience to solidify their relevancy.
  5. Once the trees grow and the bricks age it won't stand out that much at all.
  6. These renderings look like the architectural embodiment of schizophrenia. I think the historic design is perfect the way it is. It can be slightly modernized with materials and maybe signage, but the splendor of the original architecture is completely lost in these renovation renderings. They might as well tear it down if they're going to turn it into this hodgepodge, cluster f*ck of materials and leading lines.
  7. they're tearing down houses that look almost exactly the same, only to rebuild them with cheaper materials and charge 3x as much 🇺🇸
  8. Looks like the 550 building is getting an intense renovation. Hopefully it compliments the new park
  9. Sounds like the same issues affecting every city across the US. Also, Cookies is a West Coast dispensary.
  10. I'm excited to check Factory 52 when I visit the city next week. I wish a little more historic preservation could've been done but I think its an interesting use for the space. Hoping that it will spur development out towards Montgomery Rd. to really kick off revitalizing that area of Norwood.
  11. This makes me feel old. When I was a sophomore they built the bubble and it made the school feel so legit. Graduated in 14 and it almost feels like an entirely different school.
  12. I don't like it but only because it sits right in the path of the light rail route I developed in my imagination.
  13. Did that graffiti happen after the stone facade was removed? What a bummer, that mural looks so cool.
  14. I immediately thought WTC when I saw this rendering.
  15. This is what we deal with in LA, insane NIMBYs that try to block literally every development. They literally appeal everything. It's a nightmare and why we can't build all the housing we need.
  16. Can't think of another development that had so much hype behind it end up as such a turd. Even the renderings have been VE'd to hell, I'm terrified of what the final product will be. From the architecture, to the layout, to the lack of walkability and broad swaths of blank wall at street level, this is a huge missed opportunity.
  17. Do we know whats being built on the site of the old Boys and Girls Club? Also, are there updated renderings from Liberty and Elm?
  18. This may be a dumb question, but is the PNC logo being removed as well?
  19. Streetview on Crown hasn't been updated since 2014. Heartbreaking to see the architecture we continue to lose in Cincinnati.
  20. Based on the renderings and the pre-existing site plan, looks like it will be either Building C or E... but who knows if thats reliable. God thats a sea of asphalt.
