Yep, right there! Currently the kids & I walk up the gravel drive on the right if we park in the friendship park but this new development will cut that access off. Not that it is crazy inconvenient but you would have to go west and around the firehouse to double back to the stairs once this is built. It could be a southern terminus to the 'ART WALK" stairs that are trying to make a path from Walnut hills & thru Mt Addams.

My only one is could they provide a space between it and the existing building for the City (Or them if they feel charitable) to build a staircase to Eastern Ave?Riverside Dr. so that you could cut through to access the staircase to Mt Adams?

So if it had two more floors there could be affordable housing AND full funding for the streetcar? But 7 floors would ruin OTR?

I bet this and similar photos like it of the barn are the reason people are against any development here. All they remember is that nothing was here before and building here will erase "Old farmland Mt' Adams" which hasn't existed for generations. Odd, but people are odd.

Sounds more like the owner at the time was a POS, the building just needed maintenance and it was probably differed to pull more money from it. The Powell Valves building down the block could be amazing too, but a series of owners who abandoned it and differed maintenance led to roof being left entirely open and water wreaking havoc. Luckily Crosley is concrete, Powell has a wood roof and and partially collapsed and now has monthly fires inside.

Well this is sad on so many levels. The Terrace Plaza has hit the level of the ruin porn instagrammer tourists. People who make up crap and use the word 'bandos' without irony. I was here a few years back on a tour and it was in empty stripped shape but not vandalized and seemingly turned into a hobo rave palace.The city needs to step in or step away or nothing will be left to save soon.
