  1. https://youtu.be/ssSKKI7_cpk Long time reader, first time to post. I lived in Columbus until 1991 at which time I moved to Tampa. Thought y’all might be interested in this new development downtown because it is very similar to the Scioto Peninsula development. it’s called Water Street. It’s located on the southern edge of downtown (separated from downtown by the Crosstown Expressway) and it sits on the Garrison Channel, which leads out to the Bay then the Gulf. Phase 1 just wrapped up. Includes 7 high rises (20-24 floors) of office/residential/hotel/retail/restaurant/university space. Hotel rates start at $500/night, studio apts at $2K/month, condos at $1 mil. Phase 2, which will include as many buildings, will be on the northern edge of the Crosstown with construction to start next year. Like I said Water Street is so similar to the Scioto Peninsula as far as density, urban location, water location, mixed-use development. Only difference is the building heights. Too bad the Scioto Peninsula buildings could not have been built higher.
  2. Anyone remember Mario's Internationale? The ultimate Columbus power lunch/dinner restaurant located in the Galleria in the 1980's. I had an instant flashback when I read the news of the redevelopment of the property.
