Zanesville - Dresden Road Area
Are you referring to the concrete blocks Ink? If so, that is in the ridgewood Circle are. It is just to keep people from driving on the yards, I suppose. Ridgewood was originally a subdivision, so it wasn't built the same as the other city streets. It has since been annexed, however.

Hardin County: Development and News
I know someone who was transferred to Kenton. He told me "If you find youself in the middle of nowhere, look me up because you are probably in Kenton." He ended up really liking it there. It looks like a nice little town, with a great courthouse!

^ That's because downtown is mostly offices anymore, and offices close around 5. That will be changing shortly with some new exciting projects planned. I don't think you are remembering correctly however, because turning right will take you to through an old industrial area, and then north through miles of city, not the "boonies." If you continue left, you will stay on Main, or W. Main. You will leave the city after a couple of miles and it is not a nice area of town. (that may be what you are remembering). Even when you leave the city limits, I wouldn't call it the "boonies" There is industry out that way, as well as several subdivisions and a high school. If you drive up SR 60 north (Maple Ave.), you will see that the town does not die after 5. You just need a better tour, that's all :-)

Does any city in Ohio have a hospital Downtown?
Zanesville used to have a hospital downtown, but it moved to the north end, about 1 mile north of the other hospital. There is an Amerihost Inn, and a Cracker Barrel on that location now.

Appalachian Ohio in February
"The famed Silver Bridge - the former one killed over 40 people in 1967 and inspired the Mothman Prophecy" Sometime you should cross the Ohio at Gallipolis to Point Pleasent W. Va. and see the giant statue of the Mothman in the town square! Great pictures! 78 can sometimes be a very scary road, I have taken it in the snow before!

I don't know what happened to that, but it didn't cost a thing! And no, not a new camera, just a different one.

Dillon State Park - Today
So it was about 60 degrees outside today, so I decided to go check out the park!! Dillion State Park is located about 5 minutes outside of Zanesville in Muskingum County. It consists of a dam and reservoir constructed on the Licking River. For some reason the overlook was closed today, so I couldn't get a shot of the dam Some scenes of the Lake and beach area (the water level was kind of low today) By the marina Recreation area One of the cabins

Cincy - Lower Price Hill & near
Great shots! I pass by this area a lot on my way to Delhi. It always intrigues me, it is such an interesting area. I love the old buildings along 50 and into lower Delhi as well. The old churches are very cool. I see a lot of potential.

McConnelsville, OH and New Lexington, OH
A bit of trivia for you. I forget when, but it was probably about 10 years ago or so, but Wheel of Fortune actually did a few shows from the McConnelsville Opera House. It was newly renovated, and somehow they landed Wheel of Fortune! I just remember all of the buzz around town over that. McConnelsville and New Lex are very nice little towns in the Z-Ville market area.

Origin of your Screen Name?
I thought my name was easy to figure out, but I realized that not all people know that the nickname of my hometown, Zanesville, is the "Y-City" (for the bridge) Oh, and, I'm a guy!!
