I'm not trying to stroke the developer's ego here, but I think it's huge that they want to do 4 floors of residential over ground floor retail. It is easier and usually more lucrative to just do apartments, but I think it is crucial to have a retail component in a development at this location. It might go without saying here, but some appreciation for the added complexity of a more vibrant project will probably be lacking at the community meetings...

Is he really going to plaster Brickhaus across the roof of the building? Mother of god. It's kind of a funny name (at first) but doesn't need to light up the night sky. This building is in the local landmark district, so I highly doubt the Landmarks Committee will approve that addition.

I'm new to UO but if I could I would suggest Forest City Brewery in Duck Island - they are due to open officially in early June, and could use an event or two.

My favorite part of this is the number of buildings that have too many apartments. Then I'm sure you have some nutjob in NYC who, in the same breath, would agree with the current zoning code then tout how great rent control is in the City.
