  1. The former Mexican restaurant and garage at 33 & Grandview Ave have been demolished.
  2. I don’t disagree but if I’m not mistaken isn’t 15th & High also getting a hotel? Not sure they’d want to be on the hook for 3 with no partner. It would be great for their hospitality program though.
  3. I don’t think it’s more parking.. I’ll be going past again tomorrow but it looks like they’re using it as staging at the moment for aggregates or something
  4. Didn’t catch it until after I posted, but like I said I believe the James already has that title.
  5. I can’t believe the James isn’t even 300ft, I think it’s mass just makes it feel taller. Answer to your question though is no; 7, 10 & 15 are all affiliated with colleges if not run by them. 7 & 15 by Baylor and 15 by Northwestern. *I guess technically if you count strictly on their main campus then I assume we would have 1 & 2 as I believe the James is the tallest in that category already.
  6. I wonder if NRI has ever inquired about putting up faux facades around the substations in the AD on Convention Center Dr and the one that fronts Spring?
  7. That first side by side is truly mind blowing… I’ve said multiple times the city is virtually unrecognizable since I moved here in 2006… it drastically changed in a decade but arguably I’d say the change over the past half decade has been even more dramatic, the amount of infill is insane
  8. Depending on what you personally need them for may I suggest Harbor Freight
  9. Edit to say I second the need for the Millennial
  10. Many are still around and new ones have popped up, again not all are a success… been a busy week but I’ll share some before the weekend
  11. The building itself is much bigger than I even expected… it has a great presence from 670, Summit, etc
  12. These are typically focused on the weekend warrior type of crowd, think money to have a Porsche but not quite the know how to drive it. Mid-Ohio fills this gap currently but I don't think they allow the weekend folks to utilize the garages unless its an SCCA or NASA event.
  13. Speed limit reduction should fix that…
  14. I hope they repost this picture when the buildings around the stadium are complete. When are those scheduled to break ground?
  15. My guess is they saw how successful Neighborhood Launch was and are now running with it, even giving it a name. I love the idea of another neighborhood launch filling up the 4th St corridor. All that will do is get everyone clamoring for more height closer to their goal.
  16. I get your sarcasm but a lot of these lots are or were owned by the Schottenstein Family via shell companies.. not sure if that’s still true but a decade ago it was
  17. Correct… there is a ton of room for growth in that part of Spring, which is inevitable. I think we see a large parking garage(regardless of our opinions & thoughts people still will need to get to work) in that area or on 4th, along with some mixed use/office developments in the future. Long & Gay have infilled with primarily residential, so I think demand will come back for the above.
  18. There I go trying to be a smarta** and end up sounding like a dumb one instead 🤣🤣🤣
  19. This is part of the “Discovery District” or Neighborhood Launch, whatever it is now.
  20. I wonder if the guests at the Hyatt & H1 are going to complain about the shadows 🤣🤣🤣
  21. 2-3 years!? More like 2-3 months! I drove by this weekend for the first time since June and WOW!
  22. I disagree only because it's probably going to be a valet only hotel, which would cause a mess on 5th.
  23. Whether these "future" parents want to admit it or not the social aspect of college is just as valuable as what occurs on the west side of High. Many of the people I went to 'Beat the Clock' and 'Ugly Hour' with are now employed by some of the top startups in the city and state. I hope Midway never goes away or Out'R'Inn, Little Bar, the Library, etc. The building/block that housed Bernie's was an absolute mess physically. But the fact that Gateway virtually doesn't exist anymore is ridiculous and as mentioned it's because of Campus Partners. Again, all of it is a double edged sword.
  24. Campus now looks like what I hated about UT-Austin 10 years ago. I made fun of their lack of bars, etc and now that's what my alma mater has become, it's sad. I said almost the same exact thing when I found out Lucky's was for sure closing, it's a double edged sword.
